  1. X2 on starting a build thread. You'll definitely find a lot of good info on here. Welcome!
  2. Post in the correct thread and you may get a few more replies. Member Intros isn't the place.

    My SSS!

General pictures of my SSS throughout the years.
  4. Congrats on the new truck! Looks like you got a pretty nice lineup there!
  5. Welcome. Congrats on your second one! I'm honored to be owning one, so you must feel really good being on your second!
  6. I was on pt.net a little, and saw a lot of that drama also. Made for good reading, but not for good technical help! I'm fairly new, and haven't gotten much into the SSS specifically, so I try to keep my mouth shut, listen, and learn from the guys that have been writing up the how-tos, and I've been trying to read to learn a little more about the different mods. I'm sure once I get the truck back to my town and dig into it I'll post more and be more active. No sense in talking about something I haven't done yet! Right now the most exciting thing about my SSS is that it's towing back a car my dad and I have been working on for years, and my buddy with a stock C5 wants to race. Unfortunately for him mines not 100% stock, and he's lacking a driver mod.
  7. Jacksonville. Gonna be clear across the country back in Wyoming once I get there. Using it to tow back my other projects car too. Lol Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  8. The hood is rusted out on the bottom, but it's obviously an aftermarket. The rest of the truck is rust-free, and is really straight. Only 60,000-ish miles on the clock. Plan on either finding an HD hood or going with another cowl hood. Guess it all depends on what's available! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  9. Photos from the East Coast to hold me over until my plane ride! I love how simple it is. Not going to do much to it honestly for a little while. 2/2 drop to tuck the wheels, swap out programmers, maybe a new Kenwood head unit, swap the hood, and some nice WeatherTech floor mats. And no, it's not an Intimidator. I think the previous owner slapped that sticker on. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  10. I have a Pioneer in my current Silverado and I'm not very impressed with it to be honest after having it almost a year. Granted, it's a different line than the NEX. I'm honestly thinking about going with Kenwood, but I'm not sure that will do what I'm wanting to do with the DVD player either. Guess I gotta play with it a little to see what I can do.
  11. IIRC a friend of mine in high school had an extended cab with the Bose system and to install an aftermarket head unit with the stock speakers and amp he needed an adaptor from Bose to make it all work.
  12. Does anyone else have an OEM DVD player for the rear seats installed? I've searched just about every phrase I can imagine to search for it, and have came up empty each time. Reason I'm asking is I'm trying to see if someone has found a way to play either Blu-Ray or videos off your phone via USB to it. Would be really cool for the passengers in the back and for little ones in the rear seats. Thanks! Sorry for the shotty picture in advance. Truck is still in SC and waiting to be picked up. I'll get more in a few weeks!
  13. Thanks guys. Definitely in love with the black, and it's going to look great towing my black racecar. I'll post up some pictures as soon as I get back across the country and get it!
