jwasted Posted May 7, 2003 Report Share Posted May 7, 2003 I went with my buddy in his new SS to town tonight before the rain came in. A old gen1 lightning pulled up so we thought easy kill here. We didn't know the guy had a super charger on a old body style lightning. I have to be honest ford hater or not , that old buggy whould lay some rubber. We only went from 1 red light to the next but he did win by 2 truck lenghts in less than a 1/8th mile. matt351 Posted June 3, 2003 Report Share Posted June 3, 2003 an old lightning is not a sleeper, you should know that by now. those things are underrated from the factory. they should run about the same or slightly faster than a new ss in the 1/4. you had better watch out who you try and pick fights with.
