03Ghosst Posted June 22, 2020 Report Share Posted June 22, 2020 I've got a question for the front differential gurus. I have an 03 Z71 single cab short bed that i am converting to AWD. (currently have all parts for the swap other than a front diff) I have heard about and read that the 4x4 and AWD front differentials share the same internal design but have different axles and a different axle housing. If that is the case, i would much rather add some parts and rebuild my current differential instead of buying an AWD unit. Has anyone ever gone this route, and if so what parts were required?
