555cic4
I still think I'm going with Rossler though. I would highly recommend Rossler transmisson. http://www.rosslertrans.com/ Carl used to do all of the 4L60E work when I had my 800hp 1991 Vette and he used to have an unconditional 1 year warranty. 555cic4
I am more concerned about the transmission holding up in the short run. MagnaCharger offers a powertrain warrranty for $200. http://magnacharger.com/gmtruckradix.htm

BigTex
as i recall, there isn't a vehicle gm makes with the 4L65E which has a 4HI mode. I installed a Finishline Level 4 transmission in an 03 Escalade EXT. The stock 4L65E was donated to my Z71 which has 4hi. With the extra clutches and 5 pinion planetary in the 65E, it hold up pretty well. I'm sure some of you will blow out the tranny, but its still better than the old 4L60. zippy
i certainly agree, the 4L65E is much beefier. as for rossler, as i recall it was their 4L60E trans. that was in the lingenfelter corvette that went 8.95. if i recall correctly, they also do the upgrades for LPE.
