05 Fans

As most know I installed the 05 electric fans last weekend. Keep in mind that i haven't had the pcm programed yet to controll them. I went to get an oil change today and the spilled some on the exhaust manifold. So when I got home I let it run in the driveway to let it burn off.

To my suprise the fans kick on all by themselves. I ran around to look at the manual switch that I installed to make sure it was off and it was. The fans kick on @ 210 and turned themselves off @ 190.

I though the 03's need programing to control these?

Any ideas guys?

I put a set on my '00 last week as well.

Didn't go through my computer though.

Used curcuit 459 DK GRN/WHT

Air Conditioning Compressor Control Relay Output

for secondary fan. Cuts on when ac compressor is engaged.

For primary fan, for a cheap, but works great thermostat

control..A UPPER HOME WATER HEATER THERMOSTAT!

Used zip ties to secure to radiator core..set it at 190*

Works like a charm..Cuts off about 150...I may need to find

one that has a high temp setting..Cost...&15.00

Here's where I found out about it..

One note:

If you are thinking of doing a '05 swap, beaware that they only fit the large

radiaitor..Don't buy all the parts like I did only to find out your radiator is too

small for the shroud..
