Just as my topic says. I get outside wind noise while im driving 45 and above. I cant quite isolate where exactly its coming from, but it sounds like from the rear passenger side somewhere. The door seals look alright, nothing torn or damaged. My 06 z71 was very quiet in the cabin while i drove. Anyone have any experience with this?

If you don't use your rear doors often, try opening/closing them and be sure they're closed firmly.  They can latch and seem fully closed but they aren't, and you'll get wind noise.  Also could be the rear door window.  There are "repair" latches available that will close the window a little bit tighter to seal it.  You can try having someone ride in the back seat and put slight extra pressure on the latch and see if it gets quiet, before spending the bucks on a couple pieces of plastic.

Yeah i noticed i have to slam that door hard to cut down on noise. I think youre right about the rear window though. Gonna have a try at seeing if thats it.

My weatherstripping looks fine, too, and I keep it dressed with rubber treatment.

I installed the new window latches.  They helped some.  (soaking them in warm water will help with install).

My next step is replacing the door hinge pins.  I've owned several of this era truck and they tend to wear the pins.

Most of the reviews of the window latch fix say that it work alot if not completely. The other 7% said it doesn't work at all. I wonder if that unsatisfied 7% was due to user error or it really didnt work for those unlucky few

The 7% may have misdiagnosed the cause of their noise.  My noise was reduced with the new window latches, but my door hinge pins are worn allowing the door to sag witch doesn't allow the weather stripping to seal properly.

There was a member, years ago, who took his rear doors apart and re-set the window frame itself.  He said that, at least in his case, the window was not installed correctly.

Couldn't find that old how to but check out the seventh post in this link

Apparently a common problem.

Could be the unlucky 7% had a worst case of this problem than most have.

Yeah that's why I'm saying have someone ride in the back and put a little extra pull on the latches to bring the window in, see if it quiets it up, before spending the bucks on those latches.  They're kinda pricey for some little pieces of plastic, and if they don't solve the problem, you're gonna feel dumb.

My truck had the same issue.  All I did was slightly bend the whole bracket slightly to cause it the window to close all the way.   5 years ago when this topic was fresh  I made a how to about it.   It only took me like 5 Minutes. The noise is coming from the rear window not closing all the way against the weather stripping.
