Cbailey1389
hey guys ive read up a lot about the belt squeak on the 6.0s but im still a little confused. this morning i started the truck up and the squeak was still there, i stayed and listened for a little bit and it was cycling with what sounded like the a.c compressor. it would kick on and squeak and then kick off and stop. now my question is what would cause the a.c compressor to cycle when i had the heat all the way up and no a.c on? the a.c seems to be working fine in the truck otherwise? thanks in advance
eberhama
If you have the defrost on, the ac will cycle on and off to dehumidify the air, regardless of the temperature setting. I put a stretch to fit a/c of an 09 style silverado on mine and eliminated the idler and the squeak.
