t.may
Hey fellow SS fans, I have been approached about selling my 2004 Silverado truck. I am the original owner and the truck has under 13K miles. It is as purchased with no mods. Garage kept its entire life...never damaged. I am looking for feedback/opinions on market value and suggestions for place to potentially sell this vehicle if this local sale does not happen. Thanks for any help regarding this matter. Downeast Johnny
13K miles. WOW. If I didn't absolutely have to sell it, I wouldn't. You have to be looking at losing $15 K or so, (I am guessing to some extent). I hope that I'm wrong but I don't see getting more than 25 for it. These trucks are niche vehicles. A few of us love them but they are old tech. A new truck will give you more performance, better fuel economy, and higher level of tech in the peripherals. If I had the room to store it, I would, and keep it. Pass it on to your kids. Eventually the value will climb as a limited production vehicle. Live long enough to see it on a Barrett Jackson stage. Tru Killer
I agree with Johnny, at less than 13k miles that SS is a gem. It is very very rare to find one with that low mileage. The fact that it is an 04 in Arrival Blue Metallic and completely stock makes it even more of a rare find. Hang onto it if you can, but if you really can't, in the condition it is in I wouldn't let that go for any less than $25k. Putting some sort of bed liner on it though may be a good idea if you ever put anything in the back. I did put one of those thick rubber bed liners in back when I bought it....kept me from burning my bare feet when I washed the roof of the cab during those hot summer days here in NC :-) John...no kids to leave it to...getting ready to retire so thinking about letting all the toys go. Thanks for the feedback guys.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Congratulations on your retirement. Hold out for top dollar. I'm over on the coast of NC. Lookout lighthouse is nearly in sight of my door. I'm nearing retirement too but looking to buy more toys.
CaboRob
Downeast Johnny, so true what you said... $25k for a unmolested 13,000 mile SS should be your bottom line...a 14 year old SSS avg less than a 1000 miles per year when you see these trucks still performing with 150..200... eleven 250k miles on them. Congrats on retirement I'm looking at 18 months to getting out and relaxing myself. Tru Killer
Getting ready to retire so thinking about letting all the toys go. Maybe I'm just young and naive, but I would think you'd want to keep some toys now that you're retired, not get rid of them haha. If there was any toy to keep, this SS would be one of them, if you can even call it a toy. It's more like a fun collectible in my opinion. kyle's v
It all depends on how long you want the sale to take. quick sale 19-21k 2-4 months 24-26k 6 plus months 30+k This is JMHO! I say keep it honestly.

I say keep it honestly. No way you could get 30k for one of these trucks.... for a little bit more you can get a new truck with all the bells and whistles..... that and nobody will finance a truck that old so your going to need a cash buyer..... and those don't exactly grow on trees.
