Hi all,

I just installed speed engineering headers 1 7/8 and did new exhaust pipes 2.5"

Now I'm undecided on what muffler to go with.

Flowmaster 40 Series are decent they are the second loudest muffler that Flowmaster produces, if you really want to be loud then get the Super 10 Flowmaster that is LOUD, as for magnaflow i wouldnt know if your opting to go wth that brand i've never used it or any other

Personally I like straight through mufflers and have always loved corsa, I've had MagnaFlow before too and was happy.

Get a varex and make it as loud or quiet as you want.  Warning they aren't cheap.

The Magnaflow on mine is annoying as crap.  Otherwise stock exhaust all the way to the tip.  It drones BAD BAD BAD inside the truck around 1,000-up RPM, whenever the engine is loaded.  Worse than any Flowmaster I've ever had on a truck and that includes a dumped 40 on a slammed truck with a turndown aimed at the street.

As much as people wanna trash them I'm thinking about changing to a 40 on this truck.

What is the quietest muffler out there?

I want to hear the magna whine and not let every cop within a mile know I nailed it.

I had the Dynomax Ultra Flo X with turndowns. A really nice deep rumble, but it was a bit much for the highway. I recently took that off and put in Dynomax 3 inch race bullets (two) and ran them through my original tailpipe. Similar deep tone, but quitter on the highway due to the tailpipe I believe. I have a 1975 K5 2WD drive Blazer with a 6.0, long tubes, Brian Tooley cam running through 2.5 inch Flowmaster series 50 delta flows. Ran 40 series before that. The 40 series were more tinny than the Dynomax. The series 50 delta flows were deeper than the 40 series, but not as deep as the Dynomax. I wish my Dynomax were a tad quieter, but I still prefer over the flowmasters.
