Aldofashow
From the info leg work I've done between the head unit and intercooler is the spot to mount a blow off valve & I like to hear it so I would blow off to the engine bay Edited July 9, 2014 by Aldofashow (see edit history)
silverado_ss_04
put a filter on the surge valve, you don't want it blowing hot air back though the head unit.
Atomic
A BOV only is active when you let off the throttle...my point is you dont really care about performance when you arent in the throttle. If you mean performance of the valve, it will work the best with the most pressure difference., in which case there isnt much difference between the inlet and atmosphere. I would personally vent to atmosphere.
Aldofashow
All the factory turbo systems I've played with blow back between the turbo/head unit and filter and I've heard it could help recover boost quicker but I love the sound of an atmosphere setup so that's what I would run
fast4popper
Factory turbo systems vent to intake for one reason.. Noise. The general public don't like the noise they make. Bottom line. Vent it to atmosphere.

Vent it to atmosphere. This^^^^ not to mention that procharger also uses the BOV as a bypass valve when off boost to bypass the supercharger and allow the engine to see vacuum Sent from my HTC6500LVW using Tapatalk
