My SS is awd from time to time I'll carry stuff in it like a refrigerator and once in a blue moon a pallet of pavers of something. Well I have only done 1 pallet of pavers. About %90 of the time I don't carry nothing in the truck but if I ever do I want some good shocks. I Also want something that rides smooth

I agree, alot of people use the Belltech shocks. Atleast 95% of the time I have seen anyone replace shocks thats what they use. Im not sure of what they can support and the ride firmness, compared to the factory Bilsteins. But I still have the same OEM Bilsteins and have hauled for instance a full load of mulch that was the same height asmy roof line. Yes the trucks bed was sagging, but the shocks did a great job.

Im not saying go with factory as there is always better for about the same price. Just giving my experience as I use my bed about the same as you do. 90% of the time theres nothing in it.

I would look at the heaviest of loads you might think you you would carry and base your shock replacement off of that weight, and then look for ride, or vice a versa.

Im sure someone here will post more info for you on the Belltechs hauling and ride. I do know when my OEM shocks go Im going aftermarket for all of the above that I mentioned... Maybe call Beltech and speak to one of there specialists.

I am at stock height and just stayed with new stock shocks if I changed the ride height of my truck I would've went aftermarket

the stock shocks in the ss trucks are part of a z60 suspension package its suppose to be 2" lower then a regular chevy pickup

I am also in the same boat Mando and hope to add some sways w/the new shocks. I am curious as to what you chose for suspension? I have had Bilstein's on awd sedans before and was very happy. I was going with them soon on my truck as my stock ones are done. Time did them in, not miles.

Also I have found part number's for the 2wd Bilstein's 46mm 2wd but not the awd. Im guessing their the same. Im going to check some members garage to see about pn's.

Does belltech make a 3" drop street performance shock? Not the nitro 2. I looked on their site and no luck

idk , but on auto anything it gives you an option for if your lowered
