cam swaps dont net you that much seat of the pants power like everyone thinks

Not trying to thread jack here but I'll stay on topic considering the amount of useful information this forum has to offer. I'm looking to go with a texas speed 224/224 112LSA, the truck is all stock other than a magnaflow muffler. The truck is daily driven and will not be tracked or see FI in the future. Throughout my searches I come across a lot of individuals who insist changing the converter when doing a cam. Based on my truck's use and intentions, would you recommend changing the converter to say a 3200? Or can I hold off and know that my low end power will be very limited with the new cam?

If you want all the good out of your cam I'd go with a 3k or 3200. As long as its tuned right u really won't have an issue driving it. You don't have to put in a converter.
