GTRogers
So my CEL came on today... I just bought this truck too. My Change Oil light was on for 1 week almost not sure if that could set it off or not. But the person at goodyear tried to read it with a machine and it didnt work either their machine that cost 2grand malfunctioned or my connector had no power to it.... I have had a common issue of sometimes when I start my car the traction control gets stuck off. I am not sure if I have a wiring problem or not... 1BAD2K
That doesn't sound good. Did you go anywhere else to test a different diagnostic scan tool?
Bad Bowtie
Have you changed the oil & reset the engine oil life monitor?? Check the fuses too, even the cigarette lighter/acc'y power point one... Edited October 5, 2012 by Bad Bowtie (see edit history)
canadianVRss
Have you changed the oil & reset the engine oil life monitor?? Check the fuses too, even the cigarette lighter/acc'y power point one... This ^^^ The cig lighter fuse also allows you to access your PCM. No fuse, no PCM access. Happened to me twice. GTRogers
^^^^^^ Exactly what happened. The cig lighter fuse was blown and kept the PCM fom reading anything. Craziest thing I have ever seen!
Bad Bowtie
People leave cell phone chargers hanging in those a lot of the time, even when their phones are not plugged in charging. A BIG no, no guys.... Edited October 8, 2012 by Bad Bowtie (see edit history)
GI.SS
mine did something very similar to this. i changed the cig lighter fuse and read the codes. it read that the MAF sensor wasnt reading correctly because of the tb wasnt reading correctly which caused set off the t/c module. i cleared the codes about 2 weeks ago and they never came back...?
