Starting a thread to see what is everyones winter project plans are. Silverado SS, other truck, car, ect. Lets see what you have planned.

Here is mine

After the recent pump failure in my transmission in september its all back together and rollin. Just in time to get it all cleaned up and put away under the cover before the cold weather rolls in. Of course I had to give it a few tire rippin drives before hand.

Her last shot of daylight before gettin stuffed away

Pulled the battery, stabilized fuel, and gettin ready to install cover

This winters agenda:

My 69 Z/28 Camaro. Currently a 468 big block mated with a muncie M22 4 speed. The car def runs strong smoking the tires through 4th gear (seriously lol) but the old school Gen 1 just isnt cutting it for me. So out with the BB and Muncie and in with an LS and T56. Plans are bare 6 liter, forged internals, 408cid, T56 conversion. Those are minor details on the powertrain but I have a lod of ideas im throwing around. This will also be paired with a Autometer gauge swap, modified center console, steering wheel, ect w/ a bunch more.

Kaylas 69 Camaro. Currently a 355 small block mated with a TH350 trans. Car drives really nice and its a nice cruiser. I have convinced her into an LS swap as well. So plans for an LS1/60E swap are rollin.

I have custom 2 piece forged centerline wheels for one of the cars I ordered late last summer. Perfect size and offset for a non mini tubbed 1st gen Camaro. We are kicking around ideas to run them on mine or hers. Still in the air.

There is a lot on my plate this winter as you can see. None SSS related but she got enough last year.

Lets see yours!

1. Long tube headers from ARH

2. All fluids switched to synthetic

3. NGK plugs and MSD wires

4. Belltech sway bars

-Thats it for winter. That'll set me up to beef up the tranny in the spring and finish modding the engine by summers end.

If your not/havent been running syntethetic fluids, I would not switch with the exteme temps in alaska. Seen too issues when people switch. Even see some trucks run better without synthetics. Someone I know worked on oil testing and will never run synthetic fluid. Belltech sways and ARH LTs ftmfw.

My project, I have a long Physical Therapy to go through which is being argued between many specialists so I may see an improvement in my shoulder/wrist/elbow or will require reconstruction. Or my truck will be stored for yet another year :banghead:

Your truck is looking mint 2BFast.

My winter project is the restoration of my 1957 Chevy Bel Air, had a 396 BBC and a Turbo 400 and at one point a 4 speed. I've sold the drive train out of it and already purchased the LS 6.0L, LS2 intake and T56 six speed. The rear will be a 4 link setup and the front end will be rebuilt with tubular a arms and rack and pinion steering. The exterior will be done mostly stock except lowered slightly and the inside will retain the original 57 appearance with front and rear bench seats. The color is still up in the air, and currently I'm in the process of building a rotisserie for it. The rust is all repaired and once the body is on the rotisserie it will be sand blasted, body worked and painted! Can't wait! pepsicheer.gif

Well I bit off waaaayyyyy more than I can chew.

I have twin Identical boys on the way any day now = No sleep or time.

I am breaking ground this week on an addition for my house. Which I am doing about 75% of the work = No sleep or time.

I work on average 60hrs a week. (Only taking a month off when the boys are born)

Somehow I am still trying to figure out how the hell i'm going to get some sleep with no time too................

BTW Brian, the Camaros are beautiful. Can't wait to see how they turn out. I know they will be show worthy!

How are you gonna pass Cali smog??? :jester: What brand are you going with? Have you heard anything else on those calspeed LT's?

As for me maybe some LT's if I can find someone to take care of smog and a locker for my rearend. Maybe dip into the 13's in the 1/4.

-Routine maintenance on the bike.

-Build new chameleon cage

-Forced induction! My girl finally said, "Damn it just buy it then, and shut up about it!"

-Fix the hole I knocked in the bathroom door with tooth paste, cause my girl walked in mid drop.

I'm sure there will be more added to the list.

Due to the fact that I am broke as hell and have a new baby on the way, I am hoping for a new Magnaflow muffler from Santa. Just had to replace my water pump, belts, thermostat, and front hub assembly. Besides that, I hope to get my tonneau out of the paint shop, then pray for a more lucrative year next year.

On my list:

CAI

Wheatly tune

DJM arm drop

Brian, congrats on getting the tranny back together. Your truck rocks. Love the camaros as well. I aree with the LS swaps. Keep us up to date on them as you go!
