This is my first topic on the sight! So my problem is I have a black '05 ss and i'm having the grille inserts painted black, the whole truck is black the only things that are not black are the rims(Chrome) and the SS badges. I'm loving the murdered out look but feel leaving the ducts OE make them stand out and be noticed(in a good way) I think if they're painted they just blend in with the bumper. IDK? Thanks in advance for the replies. If any of you could post pics also that would be great.

Thats what I was thinking. But I've had a couple of "friends" say I should paint them black.

Remember, in the end it's what YOU like. It's your truck, so do what you think is best! :-)

It honestly looks good both ways, I blacked mine out but I was actually considering doing red ducts, bowtie, and emblems at one point.

Those ducts give the SS a defineing look imo, so I would leave them oem grey or even better get Shopman1 chrome duct inserts to match your rims :chevrolet:
