04CHASE Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 its possible just look in the builds thread. i think you will be able to do it for 25k , reliability will be the question . drivetrain alone will be alot , 4l80 swap , bad ass motor and some sort of forced induction or nitrous. just depends on how deep into the tens you want to go. my plan is to go deep 10's and be reliable to boot , i know ill have probably 30k in my drivetrain if not more when all is done (427 lsx with all the good stuff, turbos, and an 80e) plan is to try and stay awd but 2wd may be required for reliability. 04CHASE Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 a ten second truck is alot of work . for 12's reliably , id look into a tvs blower package. about 6k and youll have an entire package , just need to address the transmission . start searching for trans builds , reputable builders and check out performancetrucks.net for more technical info on this stuff. black00chev Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 run the tvs2300 and something like a 3k stall should pull very very good i bet... add a good blower cam and i bet 11s will be showing up. most importantly, get a GOOD tune! Fireman31 Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 Aside from everything mentioned here, you will also need to address the rear diff and brakes too. Stock brakes will not hold up to to the power you want to make, and the G80 diff's life will be short for sure..... A 2600-2800 stall is better suited for roots style blower like the TVS IMO.....
