SSilverado60 Posted April 25, 2004 Report Share Posted April 25, 2004 Dont buy a truck that originally came with a v6, you will end up doing a lot more work in the end than if you would have just bought a truck with a 4.8 in it. that way you dont have to do any kind of harness work or anything, just swap them out and everything plugs in just like before. divetravis Posted April 27, 2004 Report Share Posted April 27, 2004 Matt: Thanks for the compliment. I live near Lakeway and work in North Austin. The truck has been getting a lot of attention. The wife (it is her truck) took it in to the dealer last week for service, the service writer was saying how nice the truck looked and he wanted to know why I took the 20 inch wheels off, she explained it was not a SS, pointed out it was a standard cab.
