raidaz4lyfe
Nice find. At the end, it says to do this every 150k miles. How often are you guys doing it? I'm only at 54k miles right now, but when I bought the truck used there seems to be some algae in my resevoir and I was thinking about doing this now. What do you think? I also wasn't supplied with an owners manual when I got the truck so could someone let me know the capacity of a 2006 ss? Thanks.
T-Bag
I did mine on Sat. Did it when cold. Removed lower radiator hose let all drain. Started it up, thermo opened rest drained, once started to overheat stuck the garden hose in reservior and let it run for 30 mins. until the water drained crystal clean. That how to has too many steps IMO. I will probably do mine every 30K. 50/50 premixed Dex-Cool was $11.99 a gallon at Pep Boys. Took 2.5 gallons, there's the poor man's radiator flush lol. $40 total.
