detjoe
I bet they would bolt up too, I doubt the spindle is different on the ZR1 vs the C6 vs the C6zo6. interesting, and expensive I bet. MRKOZAK
WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE FROM A C6 ZO6 CALIPER TO A ZR1 CALIPER?
detjoe
WHAT IS THE DIFFRENCE FROM A C6 ZO6 CALIPER TO A ZR1 CALIPER? I think the differance come in the actual rotor/pad. I think the Grand Sport silvers ones would fit
DeadRinger
Guys - I'm certain that the ZR1 calipers will NOT work on our trucks. I've done a lot of reserach on a ZR1 upgrade for corvettes... the ZR1 brake system is completely different than the rest of the corvettes as they are ceramic discs... everything is different including the computer that controls ABS on the C6 ZR1. So althought the ZR1 calipers make bolt on fine with the brackets on our truck - they most likey will not work correctly and may be dangerous without the correct matching pads, ceramic rotors, and ABS computer. detjoe
a caliper is a caliper...PBR 6 piston caliper. You are correct that the pads and rotors are different but if you were trying to put these on a truck you would need a aftermarket rotor. JF-03-SS
Bumping this from the dead. Still running this set-up today and there is still lots of interest on this mod.
MID12sSSS
Yeah. I can't wait to get mine complete. I bought brackets a year ago and haven't gotten around to the rest yet. I wanna get the rotors coming, and then get the calipers when I find a great deal. And I hear there are stainless braided brake lines too? I gotta get ahold of the part numbers for these, as well as the brake pads that are being used for this kit. I've heard the hawk pads are super dusty. Any other options available?
