I Don't know of any 350SS's period, they were just 350 Sport, not Super Sport.

Also, there is no GMC SS's, at least I've never heard of one, and no paper work has came through our dealer.

yea gmc made a serria gt but i think that was it gmc has never had ss.

By the sounds of this it leads me to believe these "350SS" are aftermarket stickers/emblems

and not factory upgrades or packages. "Your 1988-1998 Chevy Truck's emblems say a lot about you. If you're looking for something other than stock , Eckler's Classic Chevy Trucks offers a selection of door emblems that let you express your personality. Our high quality emblems are available in a variety of styles to complement your truck's exterior. These door emblems are a snap to install. Just pop off your originals and install these great looking replacement emblems using two sided molding tape. Set your Super Sport Truck apart with a pair of custom SS-350 door emblems from Ecklers Trucks. Our custom emblems are available for your 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 or 1998 Chevy Truck or SUV."

You know, some of you should check out stuff a little better before you start calling somebody fake. Porno Joe is correct, they did badge several trucks 350SS in the 90's they were the same as the 454's except they only had a 350. They upgraded the computer chip to make them produce a little better, too. I should know, I worked for a GM dealer back then, and I have one. It has 260K on it now, and still gets 17-18 mpg. The conversion package was done by Show Trucks USA in Texas.(Out of business now)

Good thing you signed up to scold some dudes that were debating a topic in 2008. :)  By the way the "fake" comment was directed at a GMC regular cab stepside "SS" which I will go on the record and say was fake.

So, welcome to the forum, do you have a Silverado SS or did you just come to yell at some dudes from the past?

Richard

The ss 350 are not common at all….I have a 97 ss350 vortex. They are not common like the 454s. Ik bc of the caps for the American race rims it came with from factory broke when I was in an accident. The insurance wanted to buy all 4 new rims but from a earlier model Chevy bc it was hard for them to find the the original caps so they had to get in contact with American racing to get a cap made I only seen one more like mine..I got it from my pops a while back. He said they custom ordered an only like a handful around. It comes with a 5.7 vortex In it..an the Interior has Wood grain on the doors center console an dash with the leds light on the headliner over the center console
