FFHamptonSS
Just bought a shopman1 bowtie for the front of the SS. While I was waiting for it I was wondering what you have to do to get the factory bowtie off. I haven't looked at it yet, but was at work and was wondering if anybody knew. Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated. There are two nuts on the back that unscrew then the emblem pulls out. I don't know how hard the nuts are to get at with the grille still on the pickup, I put mine on before installing the new grille. By the way, removing and installing the whole grille is real easy. JF-03-SS
You have to remove the cover that is over the top of the radiator and there are 2 nuts on the back side of the grill that hold the bowtie on.
streatsboy
All Ya have to do is pop up those little tabs ith a small flat head screwdriver... Then the cover should come off. Then your nuts on the back of your bowtie are easy to get to. SShould take 5 minutes or less
