'76 chevy 350 upgrades

Recommended Posts

oh god yes, we ran mid 13's on a mild cam and the gm heads. We ran 12.13 on motor before the roll cage and now with the roll cage 12.22 is the best we can do on motor at about 9.4:1 ratio now. 11.40 is the best off a 100 shot, but could have been better had i backed the timing down a bit.

If I were picking a cam for that truck I'd go with the X4254H (part number 12-235-2) from Comp Cams. That should have plenty of torque to get you past the crappy stock stall and pull well to a little over 5k. As long as the stock valve springs aren't too tired you should be able to re-use them. If you do end up replacing the intake with a new one, I'd go with the Performer Air Gap.
