adams2003
What kind of hp and boost gains do you get changing to a 3.0 or 2.9 pully. Do you have to change the belt... to what size? Anyone??? You usually get about 1 lb of boost per every .1 of an inch smaller pulley. For example you might get 7lbs of boost with a 3.3" pulley and 9 lbs of boost with a 3.1" pulley. I havn't seen any dyno runs for hp increase per lb of boost, but its supposed to be like 15-20 hp for every lb of boost. Oh yeah, I had to change my belt when i went to the smaller pulley. Usually you dont have to though, only if the belt starts slipping and making a squeking niose or if you start to get a black powder built up on the supercharger etc. from the belt grinding away. hank
I went from a 3.3 pulley to a 3.0. I only gained 1.5psi. of boost. It doesn't appear that the belt is slipping. Shouldn't I have more boost? Anyone?
xcelr8
How are the 2.9 pulleys working on the SS's? Are you having any problems? I'm ordering either a 2.9 or a 3.0 soon..... Thanks-JK
