kaotik1
I think it's just the new 6.0 thing. My buddy has a 2006 denali and his says max as well, but it is the LQ9 motor according to the book.

StealthSS
Thats stupid to call a truck and an engine the same thing...
FSU VHO
The truck isn't really called anything. It is not a special model. It is just an option package with a badge to signify the engine. And the option package that created what we have come to call the VHO is called the Silverado Peformance Edition, which is what it was called when I bought my VHO. The reason we call them VHOs is because of the special engine badge we were given to put on our doors that said Vortec High Output. Now they have renamed the engine the VortexMax and they have made a new door badge. Stupid in my opinion, but it is their company. There is also an option package called the VortecMax Performance Pack, which is what I personally will call the VortecMax truck. As we have gone over what this truck is in pervious posts, I wont elaborate, but it is not a sport truck, it is a towing truck.
SoCalGMC
I noticed the MAX engine covers at the LA Auto Show as well. I agree the Vortec Max is not a sport truck, but the Performance Edition is.
