Dirt.boy Posted November 6, 2005 Report Share Posted November 6, 2005 Like many on here I have gone to the amber DRLs just because the stock white ones are so dreary. I love the ambers during the day especially the blue tint of the unlit SilverStars with my blue truck. But... really don't like the amber at night when I hit the remote un/lock buttons. Question 1) Has anyone found a better white DRL? LED or ? I'm thinking LED cause the stock bulb already had scorched the socket. Question 2) Alternatively, has anyone rewired their truck so that the headlights come on instead of the DRLs when activated by the remote. I thinking a relay to switch the coil side of the DRL relay for the coil of the Low beam relay when the key is off and back to regular operation when the key is on.
