yeary03SS
I found an article on the C6 vette and it says the 4l65e torque capacity is 670 lb-ft. I also found through searching that the gearbox torque capacity is 670 lb-ft. What's the difference between maximum gearbox torque and how much torque it can handle from a motor?? TBSS
No matter what the answer, be aware that a 4L65E in a 3500 lb. Corvette will have a different power handling capacity than one in a 5500 lb. truck...
zippy
i'm not sure what you're actually trying to get at, but the 65E in stock form can't handle 670ft lbs. of torque.
PVerspeek
he can... 4L65-E Four speed rear-wheel-drive, electronically controlled, automatic overdrive transmission with a torque converter clutch. Yeah, the maximum engine torque is 380 lb-ft according to GM. I found this searching..... 24221888 - 4L65-E Four speed rear-wheel-drive, electronically controlled, automatic overdrive transmission with a torque converter clutch. zippy
ah, ok. that should mean maximum output torque. this should be including torque converter slippage and gearing.
CoolBlueSS
ah, ok. that should mean maximum output torque. this should be including torque converter slippage and gearing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So would that mean multiplied torque through converter and gearing?
