  1. My water pump has been leaking off and on the last few weeks. I'm going to replace it along with belts and hoses. I'm needing a little advice on this heater hose conglomeration. It looks like I need to buy the assembly that is all put together with couplers that go to the heater core and tank. The other hose looks like old school with clamps. Is their a tool to unscrew these connectors or do they unscrew? I also saw that you could maybe build these setups by buying the connectors separate. I have noticed the built piece OEM can run as high as 50 to 70 bucks. Any other tips on this project would be appreciated as well. Thanks
  2. Looking for advice from all, still new here so bare with me on this one. Water pump gaskets leaking so I'm planning the attack on a new water pump. Since I'm in hot ole Arizona I need my coolant system solid. I don't believe in if it ain't broke don't fix it. I'm a preventative maintenance and a do it right the first time kind of guy. Since I'm gonna do the water pump I'm gonna replace every hose in the system that touches coolant since I'm there with coolant drained and being that I don't want to revisit later for a bad hose, upgrade the belts to the gator backs, both belt tensioners, 160 thermostat and thermostat housing. My little DEVILIZED RED DRAGON has 83,000 miles on the clock so I figured do it all and be good for another 83,000. Advice I'm looking for is lean torwards OEM parts or cut corners and do aftermarket parts?Replace just the pump, thermostat and belts or do it all? Go Acdelco on the pump with a one year warranty or take a chance on lifetime warranty on aftermarket and take a chance a replacing it every six months? You guys know it best as some might have been there done that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance.
  3. hello, I am just finshing up my 408 stroker for my 2003 Silverado SS turbo and I am just wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket oil pan that fits the AWD trucks? Also does anyone make a good water pump; electric or not that fits the truck brackets. I have electric fans as well. Just thought that these might be some nice finishing touches. If there is any other advise it would be great too. Thanks
