  1. My truck is a 2007 classic (03-06 body style) single cab silverado. We are converting it to a v8 and have got the motor bolted up to the 4l60e with the v6 converter using a 5.3 flywheel. We got a harness off a guy who claims it came from an 05 silverado. Whenever we started running the harness, we realized that there was nothing there for the electrical fans. After further examining the V6 harness, we realized that it also has a module that looks like some sort of alternator control module. I believe that the sole purpose of this is for the electrical fans?Alternator control module wiring:V6 harness plugs that are missing on the V8 (One goes to fans and other goes to the module):Would I be better off getting a proper harness for a 2006/2007 with electric fans or are the harnesses identical other than the alternator plug and the pinning for the fans (meaning I can pull them off the V6?Also, are all of the harnesses off of any 06-07 2wd 4l60e going to be identical?
  2. So a while back I got the Torrent efan kit with his harness. The harness is problematic now. Fans stay on and a tap on the relay box usually stops them. I opened up the relay box and snapped pics of the over heated wire insulation, and he said he'd supply me with a new harness box (possibly other than the plastic one I got w/ the kit). I would have to return my old one, I said fine, it's pretty much a paper weight at this point. Well apparently this offended him because I get no responses. THIS IS BUSINESS! Not personal. I don't want my truck to go up into flames due to this failing component he fabricated. I know he's got an excellent reputation on this and probably many other forums, but I really need him to follow through with what he said he was going to do. Let the bashing begin if that's what you need to do, but if this leads to my truck being closer to 100%, so be it. I've gotten plenty of helpful ideas on this forum and I'm sure I'll continue to do so. Take it easy guys and gals and just please try and put yourself in my situation, no matter how differently you may have replied, lol.
