Hey guys, i was looking to upgrade the brake system in my SS as it has the original one still and it is not very good for braking or so I've noticed... what system is a great replacement but won't break the bank? (Wilwood). Or what may i modify in order to get better braking performance? Any input would be greatly appreciated oh and information about the brakes on these trucks as i know nothing about the ones on these trucks.. maybe links? George

I've had my truck parked for a few months, but when I went to go drive it last, the dash told me I needed to get the brake system checked. My father in law has had a few silverado pickups and in one has had a brake system problem. Is this common? Is there a "usual" suspect for this alert?

I have a 04 SSS and its about time for some new brakes...I would like to get some slotted rotors but I don't like the price tag that comes along with most of them. The truck is basically just a daily driver so I don't need anything out of this world just a little better than stock rotors. My friend told me he put a set of slotted rotors and pads on his truck for around $200 but he can't remember what kind they are. If anyone has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them! just lookin for some answers.. Thanks, Matt

Looking for Z06 brakes to put on my '06 Silverado SS. There is someone on the forum here that makes the brakets but I need to find him and the calipers. Looking for Red or Drk Grey Calipers. Thanks
