  1. Hello there. Over the next few months. I will be taking on the prosess of converting my new truck that I have just imported into New Zealand to right hand drive. I started tonight on pulling the dash and other interior parts out. And also removed. The steering box to be sent away to be all changed and returned as a right hand drive steering box. I will be posting pictures along the way as I get time.
  2. I am moving up to San Francisco in two weeks and can't take my truck with me. It's a 2003 AWD SS Silverado with 113k miles. I purchased it from a friend about 4 years ago with 80k miles. It has a salvage title from theft, I have the carfax and supporting docs. This has been such a great truck for me and I can't thank this forum enough for helping me with everything SS related. Upgrades include: 06 HD Hood and Grille, black 24 inch wheels, HID lights, Sound/navigation/backup camera, flowmaster exhaust. I haven't done anything to the engine, suspension, or drivetrain. I've really just used it as a clean truck to get to and from school/work. I am asking $11k but am open to reasonable offers. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns, my cell is (818) 631-4870. If anyone has a brother, friend cousin, looking for a SS keep me in mind as well. Thanks.
  3. New to the SS forum. I'm a huge fan of the truck and will be hunting down an Arrival Blue one in a few months. So in the meantime, and to keep my mind on the goal, I drew it I am an automotive artist from Manteca CA. Check out my facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/akdrawsrides If you would like a drawing of your truck, car or motorcycle, feel free to send me an email @[email protected]
  4. As stated in the title I'm in need for the 2003 black Silverado SS paint code. I know I can look in the glove and find it, but it's at home right now and I'm out of town, but I'm wanting to order the paint now so it can go ahead and be ordered. I thought a Onyx Black was used, but every paint site I go to to look up the code of my truck just calls it "Black" and gives the code WA8555. I'm just trying to make sure I don't screw up and order the wrong paint. Thanks in advance guys!
  5. Well earlier today a horse trailer in town took out my front bumper and drove off ... I am very sad about the whole deal but I guess life happens. At the moment I have a street scene one but it has always bothered me that it is one piece instead of separate. I was looking into getting an OEM or maybe a perfect replica one, any suggestions? Also I know that the street scene one works as a bumper cover and bolts right onto the bumper, will the OEM one work the same? Thanks.
  6. Hi all, I have a terrific 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS for sale. It is in great condition and pro built with tons of extra high performance parts. Here I have for sale this amazing 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS. Equally at home on the street and ready for the strip. Fiberglass hood installed with cold air induction vents. Poly urethane front bumper. Both these mods were to lessen the weight. This truck is an all wheel drive vehicle, it has amazing traction and hook up. Nothing but quality parts and reputable builders were used in the modification and enhancements of this SS. Only a few light scratches and some of the clearcoat on the fiberglass hood and bumper has started to peel. These can easily be painted if you like or keep running it as is. It's nothing to detract a future owner. This truck is built to run and even drive to your local store and car show. All race mod's and mechanical work were done by Doug Hunkler and Rathmann Racing. 7. I'm on the hunt for a set of nice 22" replica wheels in Texas. Would like to find someone close by Lubbock TX (Willing to travel a little) who is looking for a stock set of OEM silvers wanting to get rid of the 22"s so it would be a simple trade off. Depending on the situation (New tires, etc) I may be willing to throw in some money on top of the stock 20"s. Lemme know what you got!

  10. I believe I've read somewhere where someone didn't actually use the OEM brackets to hold the cladding on the single cab and made some homemade ones instead. I was just wondering if any of you had a design or an opinion on the OEM vs homemade ones, as I am thinking about buying this set of cladding that doesn't include brackets :/. Also, does anyone have an idea how to mount this stuff where it won't blow off driving down the street without drilling holes in every panel of my truck? Thanks!
  11. Posted this on HPT so I figure I'd post this here too. I'm interested in buying any SS silverado cladding pieces that will fit a single cab at the right price. Let me know what you got! Thanks.
  12. Yep, I'm selling my ZHAULR. I don't have to sell her, but if doing so puts my family in a better position financially then it's the smartest thing I can do right now. $13.2K OBO. KBB puts her at $14.2K in her current condition. I know I won't ever get what I've put into her so please no low-ball offers. Buyer pays for shipping. 13. Hi, I have seen many different answers upon searching around the internet. I need to know what transfer case the 2003 Silverado SS comes with. I have heard NVG149, NP149 and more. I have my transfer case out and ready to be worked on. I'm just not at home at the moment to be able to see what's on the transfer case itself. I'm wanting to start ordering my rebuild parts and chain right now. I waited until I had my transfer case out and inspected to make sure a new chain was needed before I ordered a $140 chain. Haha, If anyone could please point me in the right direction, I would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Another point or 2 deducted for taking it through DEQ. It says that on there. No accidents, no claims, very cautious while driving and I clean this thing weekly if not more and detail it quarterly. Its such an amazing truck it deserves the best and since it was my dads I know he looks down and smiles knowing I am taking care of it and now will need to take care of my family. Heated, leather seats with power and memory settings. Brand new tires less than 90 days old. Recently serviced. Serious buyers welcome. Clean title in hand. Cash or cashiers check. This is a MUST SEE! As mentioned in a Truckin article, When compared to the "normal" Silverado SS, the Intimidator is more than just a badge package. 17. Looking to cam my silverado and was wondering whats for sale.
  18. After putting that 2/4 mcgaughys kit on my rcsb clone I have bottomed out EVERYWHERE. Today I got under the truck and saw the passenger side bumpstop cleared about an inch, while the driver side was pushing on the axle... I took both of the bumpstops off and trimmed them down to where I have around an inch and 1/4 of clearing from the axle to bumpstop and drilled them but it still rides rough on big dips. I was wondering what the best aftermarket bumpstop would be and was hoping one of the pros like norcal could shoot me in the right direction. I hear the pancake ones are as hard as a rock, but hitting those every once in awhile may be better than constantly riding soft bumpstops.
  19. I am wanting to redo my trucks paint on the cheap side and was wondering what kind of product is duplicolor for redoing this type of thing. Was thinking of going with a basic white, would like to do black but I dont think i can paint well enough to do black.
  20. I'd love to get a cowl hood similar to the goodmark ones like the pictures below but no matter how hard I look I only run across ones for the 03-05 grille. My single cab has the 2006-2007 grille on it and is a 2007 classic so it wont look right. Does anyone know of someone who makes a similar hood?
  21. Okay, i have an 03 ss silverado with headers, intake, electric fans, cooler thermostat, exhaust and a twin screw magnuson supercharger. Im looking to buy some cams and a torque conveter witj about a 3200 stall in it. What kind of cams do you all run or reccomend? I need to know exactly the dimensions and all. And what kind of torque converter? Do i have to change anything else for cams and a converter? And another question is would it hurt my truck to run more boost on it? Any info will help!!! Thanks in advance!! Trying not to lose my spot on our top 10 fastest vehicles list around here!!!
  22. After dropping my clone my ISS seems to sit way high to me . There is no way I am gonna air chisel the rivets off on that nice of a truck so I was wondering if in the future I were to drop it how well the lowering leafs worked? I hear that belltech and mcgaughys sell them and I know that would be a whole lot easier to put on and return to stock if decided to later down the road. Would it ride a lot rougher than with the hanger & shackle set up or not? Thanks for all the input!
  23. I was looking around and ran across this picture of an ss clone. I think this bowtie would like sick on my intimidator since it looks to be black with a silver outline, was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find one of these at? I've searched around the web a little but no luck, might just have to have the body shop paint me one. My other idea would be to get a shopmans bowtie powder coated black with silver SS letters, what do guys think would look best?
  24. Found this truck for sale with 250k miles, thought it was crazy how nice it looked too. Guy must have really taken care of this thing. http://cars.oodle.com/detail/2004-chevrolet-silverado-ss/3318005635-cumming-ga/
  25. I am selling the chrome bumper off my 2006 Silverado along with the spare hoist that holds the spare tire underneath the truck. I got a roll pan on it last year and these parts have just been in storage so I figured I'd sell them. I'll try and get some pictures up tomorrow but the bumper is in great shape. No dings, scratches on the chrome, etc. It comes with everything you need to bolt it right on as well. The spare hoist the same, I know this is a common part that breaks so I figure this one will sell faster. I can't imagine why someone with an SS truck would want one of these but I figured maybe one of the guys with a regular Silverado might be interested. Not sure if the SS trucks take the same spare hoist but I figured I'd post it on here just incase. Pm me if you are interested, thanks!
