  4. Hello all, I am Derek, active duty Navy living in the DC area. After my brother died in March of 2013, his wife decided to give me his 2006 Silverado Intimidator SS (I didn't own a vehicle). I love this truck, I love driving it, and hopefully the image I attach shows up (posting this from work lol). Hope you all like it
  5. Having issues with my trans on 2004 ss truck, awd. No reverse. What would it cost to relace?
  6. Hello there. Over the next few months. I will be taking on the prosess of converting my new truck that I have just imported into New Zealand to right hand drive. I started tonight on pulling the dash and other interior parts out. And also removed. The steering box to be sent away to be all changed and returned as a right hand drive steering box. I will be posting pictures along the way as I get time.
  7. I recently acquired an 03 Silverado SS 6.0 and Im lookin for some performance upgrades. Lookin for headers, fairly radical cam but still street worthy, and a true duals set up for starters. Any tips on the best places to look for parts to get more bang for your buck? my end game will be a comepletely rebuilt and forged SC motor. but Im just startin out at the moment. lol
  8. I'm currently looking to replace my aftermarket 22's for factory OEM chrome wheels. I am located in South Florida for the next six months before I head back to North Carolina. Hit me up ASAP I'm ready get my SS back to the original look.
  9. Finally got my new truck! Drove 2,600 miles from Texas to Florida back to Texas in 2 and a half days. Here's some pictures to check it out. When I bought it it had 21 miles from Chevrolet test driving and never even seen a road before. I couldn't help but to take it out today so it's sitting at 35 miles right now. I'm keeping my single cab clone as a daily driver so I can keep this in the garage, but I think this will be a fun weekend toy for sure. Here are some pictures of it sitting at the original owners garage in Florida. He trailered it from a lot in Virginia in 2006 and unloaded it at his house in Florida, where he started it once a month to keep it running. Here's the original link with the pictures from the ebay sale. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:http://www.thomaslaffey.com/DaleEarnhardt.html The ones below are ones I took. Here's some pictures of it unloaded at the house all cleaned up, had to walk outside two or three times to actually believe it was real. It came with every factory option available.
  10. I am moving up to San Francisco in two weeks and can't take my truck with me. It's a 2003 AWD SS Silverado with 113k miles. I purchased it from a friend about 4 years ago with 80k miles. It has a salvage title from theft, I have the carfax and supporting docs. This has been such a great truck for me and I can't thank this forum enough for helping me with everything SS related. Upgrades include: 06 HD Hood and Grille, black 24 inch wheels, HID lights, Sound/navigation/backup camera, flowmaster exhaust. I haven't done anything to the engine, suspension, or drivetrain. I've really just used it as a clean truck to get to and from school/work. I am asking $11k but am open to reasonable offers. I would be happy to answer any questions or concerns, my cell is (818) 631-4870. If anyone has a brother, friend cousin, looking for a SS keep me in mind as well. Thanks.
  11. New to the SS forum. I'm a huge fan of the truck and will be hunting down an Arrival Blue one in a few months. So in the meantime, and to keep my mind on the goal, I drew it I am an automotive artist from Manteca CA. Check out my facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/akdrawsrides If you would like a drawing of your truck, car or motorcycle, feel free to send me an email @[email protected]
  12. Hi all. New to the forum and to the SS, looking to pick one up here within the next few weeks. I'm located in Tampa but could travel a little bit within Florida. Not looking for anything too crazily modified. If yall know of any around I'd appreciate the heads-up. I will keep scanning the forums as well I just thought I'd put the word out. Thanks!
  13. Fellow SS enthusiasts: Keep your eyes open around the streets of New Orleans for a recently stolen black/black 2006 SS in mint condition! I'm sure it's been pieced out for our precious LQ9 etc. already but if they happen to make the mistake of enjoying her for a bit longer before they tear her apart, call local pd for me, please and thanks. Every piece painted black, Florida "Protect the Panther" tag, trailer hitch and 5% tint on stock twenties. Put my heart, and wallet, into her for years, feels like I just got served divorce papers that I was not expecting. To all of those still in possession of your SS - this is the second time in the second state I've dealt with this. They didn't pull it off in Los Angeles about a year and a half ago. Should have learned my lesson. Appreciate you all taking the time. Also, don't leave anything sentimental in your rides. I produce films and I had a ton of really important stuff with me as I'm usually on these trips for months and they got it all. Any luck, which I know is a looong shot, shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] Thanks again, Conor
  14. As stated in the title I'm in need for the 2003 black Silverado SS paint code. I know I can look in the glove and find it, but it's at home right now and I'm out of town, but I'm wanting to order the paint now so it can go ahead and be ordered. I thought a Onyx Black was used, but every paint site I go to to look up the code of my truck just calls it "Black" and gives the code WA8555. I'm just trying to make sure I don't screw up and order the wrong paint. Thanks in advance guys!
  15. Well earlier today a horse trailer in town took out my front bumper and drove off ... I am very sad about the whole deal but I guess life happens. At the moment I have a street scene one but it has always bothered me that it is one piece instead of separate. I was looking into getting an OEM or maybe a perfect replica one, any suggestions? Also I know that the street scene one works as a bumper cover and bolts right onto the bumper, will the OEM one work the same? Thanks.
  16. Hi all, I have a terrific 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS for sale. It is in great condition and pro built with tons of extra high performance parts. Here I have for sale this amazing 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS. Equally at home on the street and ready for the strip. Fiberglass hood installed with cold air induction vents. Poly urethane front bumper. Both these mods were to lessen the weight. This truck is an all wheel drive vehicle, it has amazing traction and hook up. Nothing but quality parts and reputable builders were used in the modification and enhancements of this SS. Only a few light scratches and some of the clearcoat on the fiberglass hood and bumper has started to peel. These can easily be painted if you like or keep running it as is. It's nothing to detract a future owner. This truck is built to run and even drive to your local store and car show. All race mod's and mechanical work were done by Doug Hunkler and Rathmann Racing. 17. I'm on the hunt for a set of nice 22" replica wheels in Texas. Would like to find someone close by Lubbock TX (Willing to travel a little) who is looking for a stock set of OEM silvers wanting to get rid of the 22"s so it would be a simple trade off. Depending on the situation (New tires, etc) I may be willing to throw in some money on top of the stock 20"s. Lemme know what you got!

It has a little over 80k miles on it. I have raced it numerous times at the 1/4 mile track but I never abused it. I only use Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil and change it every 2-3k miles. The stock transmission was replaced recently with another low mileage 4L70E (about 3k miles ago). I also had the converter rebuilt when I changed out the transmission. Also has new u-joints and rebalanced driveshafts. I did my own tuning and mechanic work on it. I did dyno it when it was close to stock and it put down 315 AWHP but it runs high 12's in the 1/4 mile N/A and high 11's on the nitrous. I just put the nitrous kit on recently (500 mi.) I recently lowered it as well (about 2k mi.). I put new front rotors, brake pads, and wheels hubs when doing the drop kit. For more pics and the list of all my mods, go here... http://www.fquick.com/garages/Saab/9-7x/2008/32988 FYI: Only 500 Aero's were offered in 2008 and 119 in 2009. There were only 2 colors available, Carbon Flash Metallic and Diamond Silver. This is very similar to a TBSS except for the cosmetic differences and the retail price when new. $16,500 If you have any questions or would like more details/pics, let me know. 20. Does anyone know where I can find this decal, or the person that makes them??
  21. I have a set of 4 SS stock wheels with center caps for sale from my 2003 Silverado. The photos were too big to upload, but email me at [email protected] and I can send them to you. They are in good shape, some minor wear, but no curb rash, chips, or cracks. Price is $600 plus shipping. I can meet you if you're in the Denver area.
  22. I believe I've read somewhere where someone didn't actually use the OEM brackets to hold the cladding on the single cab and made some homemade ones instead. I was just wondering if any of you had a design or an opinion on the OEM vs homemade ones, as I am thinking about buying this set of cladding that doesn't include brackets :/. Also, does anyone have an idea how to mount this stuff where it won't blow off driving down the street without drilling holes in every panel of my truck? Thanks!
  23. Posted this on HPT so I figure I'd post this here too. I'm interested in buying any SS silverado cladding pieces that will fit a single cab at the right price. Let me know what you got! Thanks.
  24. Yep, I'm selling my ZHAULR. I don't have to sell her, but if doing so puts my family in a better position financially then it's the smartest thing I can do right now. $13.2K OBO. KBB puts her at $14.2K in her current condition. I know I won't ever get what I've put into her so please no low-ball offers. Buyer pays for shipping. 25. Hi, I have seen many different answers upon searching around the internet. I need to know what transfer case the 2003 Silverado SS comes with. I have heard NVG149, NP149 and more. I have my transfer case out and ready to be worked on. I'm just not at home at the moment to be able to see what's on the transfer case itself. I'm wanting to start ordering my rebuild parts and chain right now. I waited until I had my transfer case out and inspected to make sure a new chain was needed before I ordered a $140 chain. Haha, If anyone could please point me in the right direction, I would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
