  1. this site is nothing like it used to be. hell this is my first post in over 4 years. I still drop in to read occasionally, but I can stop once a month and read all the new threads in 5 min. still have my SS sitting in the garage
  2. Sorry to say but you'll never get it. It had to be sent to the original owner when the truck was bought. I am the original owner of my truck, and the dealer I bought mine from screwed up the address and I never got mine. I spent hours on the phone trying to track mine down. Of all the calls I made and different people I spoke to, only once did I get someone who was helpful. I was able to speak with a woman who was able to tell me my number. At that time, GM was only printing Certificates on a cycle, cant remember if it was monthly or quarterly, and she said I would have to wait xx number of days/months and mine would be printed. I was ecstatic, however I never got one in the mail. I tried to contact her or someone else numerous times after that and got nowhere. I bought mine new in dec of 2006 and by the time I started searching in 2007, nobody had a clue what I was talking about. I'm guessing 10 years later you prolly have a snowballs chance in hell of even finding someone who knows the certificates were actually printed
  3. I thought only 03 and 04 had instant. 05-07 did not. my 07 classic has none of those 3. the seat belt notification is only the light illuminating, not the DIC writing. my 06 has the "buckle seatbelt" on the DIC, but no instant mpg or annual log.
  4. I got mine last night. got $50+ worth of supplies. I'm just bummed I got car shampoo and I just ordered some of that 2 weeks ago
  5. I bought mine off amazon as well last year. what sealed the deal for me was my local grocery store offers fuel perks for buying amazon gift cards. So even though i paid a little more than the cheapest online, i earned like $80 in free gas
  6. I've had my BSER rollpan smoothed in for 4+ years now. not a single crack.
  7. Yeah I have two optima red tops that are both 6+ years old, but like i said, my stock battery was at 7 years, and still holding a charge but just weak, and i have an ac delco from 2003 still in one of my other trucks. now that has been keep on the tender its whole life, but im still amazed after 10 years. Plus. a red top was like $175 and a yellow was like $215. The stock delco was $78 and the upgrade $90. really hard to argue with the price
  8. I ended up going to with another AC delco, but i bought the "upgrade" with has more CCA- 800 as opposed to the factory 600. Couldnt pass up the price- only $90.
  9. you guys seemed to have missed the topic here- BEST BATTERY. i dont need to know about battery tenders or quick disconnects. like i said, i have two battery tenders already i just wanted opinions on what BATTERY everyone is using.
  10. I have a battery tender, two actually. but having 7 different vehicles which sits means i usually rotate the tenders around.
  11. So after 7 years my stock ac delco is finally getting weak. Doesnt help my truck sits for weeks on end sometimes months without starting. So which battery is everyone having the best luck with? I search but a lot of the threads were several years old. Right now I'm between putting a stock delco back in it, or an optima yellow top. I know people have mixed feelings about optimas, but i have two red tops still going strong after 6 years.
  12. sent ya an email, got a drawing of some brackets I'm, thinking of having cut
  13. bump, took car for a drive this weekend, has 50,700 miles currently. I would consider a complete radix kit for an 06 as a partial trade
  14. the car not the truck: Tossing around the idea of selling this. I wanted this car so I could have both the ISS truck and car, however all this car does is sit. its a 2004 Monte Carlo SS Dale Earnhardt edition, number 3,754 of 4,000. all the bells and whistles, factory supercharged. 50k miles. stored in a climate controlled garage under a car cover My mother bought the car brand new, i got it off her and it has sat under the car cover the majority of the time i owned it. Car just isnt for me. Car has never been modified. 100% bone stock its whole life. running mobil 1 synthetic. $10k not in any big hurry to sell, just tossing around ideas to clear up some garage space for a new DD
