  1. OK then it's not the fuel pump afterall... This thing will not turn over at all.. battery is good, shows 12 volts, even tried jumping it off the Envoy.. You can hear the fuel pump click on, then off after a couple seconds, but when you press the key to the start position all lights go off and it doesn't do anything.. Just silence until you let go of the key, then all the lights come back on, door chimes, etc.. Is my starter out maybe?
  2. My question is, if the fuel pump went out, wouldn't the engine still turn over? At least try? Or does the computer know that there is no fuel and prevent the starter from even trying?
  3. What's up Pete.. good to hear from you... My little one is doing great.. 19 months old now! Isn't that insane? PM me and we'll catch up.
  4. Any clue how much that would run if I just take it to the dealership to get it done instead of doing it myself?
  5. No pressure... gas spills out very lazily when I press the middle of that valve.. Even had my wife turn the key while I was pressing the valve to get the pump to kick on and I got nothing.. So am I in need of a pump then?
  6. Oh Super... If it comes down to the pump, is it something a do-it-yourselfer can do in the garage or should I just bring it in somewhere?
  7. So I need a tool to measure the pressure? Or just hold a towel there and unscrew the cap slowly to see if any fuel/air comes out?
  8. Thanks for the reply Chase.. I've never messed with the fuel system on these except for replacing fuel filters. What do I need to remove to have access to the 'test port'?
  9. Finally sold the C3, but she went to a good home.. Bought me a beater truck. 2003 Sierra work truck - long bed, 4.8L Auto, 2WD, 133K miles and a few scratches.. Paid $5K. Perfect!! I'm a moron and ran it out of gas today.. 100 yards from the gas station. put about 3 gallons in it, but it will not start now.. doesn't turn over at all.. Had to call the wife and have her tow me home with the tow strap. I can hear the pump turning on and off when I turn the key.. Turned the key on an off about a dozen times.. no help. Turned it to Run and left it for about 15 minutes (I read that this might reset the fuel pump relay), no help. I disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes thinking it might "reset" the computer, no help.. Do I have air in the fuel line now? Crud in the filter? Burn out the pump? (God I hope not). Any help would be greatly appreciated.. -Tim

  13. SOLD SOLD SOLD It's time to say goodbye to the C3... I bought a motorcycle and since then the truck just sits all alone, only to be driven on rainy days and "date nights".. The best truck I've ever owned, but alas, I can't have it just sitting depreciating for no reason.. So it's for sale to a good home. 85,000 miles (less than 40,000 on engine and less than 30,000 on trans). Mods are listed in my sig. Please PM me if interested... KBB shows $15,800 for private party value for excellent condition. Asking $13,000 firm for a quick sale. http://denalitrucks.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=250
