  1. Started throwing codes last night (P0171, P0174) on the way home from VA, weather was about 25 deg and snow. Looked up codes and it said ( Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1, Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2 ) Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?. Cleared the codes last night but they came back today on the way to work, Thought there was a P0101 code ( Mass Air Flow Sensor Performance ) last night to but did not show up today.
  2. Fix'ed today no more code. Cost me about $140.00 in parts ( $120 new GM solenoide kit #19207763 , $20 new 15' 5/8 hose and 4 clamps ) and a hour under the truck. Even got instructions with pic's from my GM parts man. I got 15' of hose because i was not sure on how much i would need a little extra never hurts. Instructions say to run the hose along frame rail and end by tieing off the new filter above the trans, this calls for droping you're trans just a little to get you're hose and new filter above it. I did not want to mess around with droping my trans so i ran the hose the length of the frame rail and up in to engine bay and tied the new filter off there. Glad i got the extra hose Tools used, sloted screw driver for the clamps and tin snips to cut the hose.
  3. Thank's fireman 31. Looks like im going to get my hands dirty?
  4. Ok gone off three times since post. Recomend any fix? our how too.
  5. Thank's had already cleared before i posted. Will see if it pops back up again?
  6. Ok not the smart'est one on here, but check engine light came on. Checked Intercepter scan gage and told me code P0449 so i looked it up and this is what i got. DTC P0449 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Control Circuit. Can some one explaine this to me?
  7. Ok guess im tracking down a leak tomorrow.
  8. I was just woundering went and bought 3/8 house thought i might need to go bigger. Can squeeze either line and noise will stop
  9. OK can is hooked up but i can still here a small hissing sound coming from the lines. I checked all the fightings and they looked good, is the sound a here just the air traveling through the lines?
  10. Ok just spent the last 2.5 hour's over on LS1 tech reading about cach can's. And have decided to run a dual can setup? Why dual can's you may ask? And where are putting them. One on the PCV dirty side & One on the PCV fresh air intake side. Why the fresh air intake side you may ask? Explain to me please. Ok this is how i read it, If you are running high RPM's ( race track or long high RPM run's ) the pressure in the crank case can build to high level's in witch the PCV valve on the dirty side can not vent it fast enough. So do to the laws of mother nature the extra built up gas will take the easi'est way out via the PCV fresh air intake. Witch will result in oil still intering you're intake and may even have oil on the outside of you're TB and in the CAI tube. There for you run a catch can on the PCV fresh air intake to catch this fumes also. And i think that would be a sweet looking setup also. I'am no way a PCV expert so i would encourage every one to do there own research and draw there own conclusion.
  11. 2BFAST is that a norris motor sports can? Think that is the same can i orderd.
  12. Thank's everone for there input. Still not sure about sea foam have read good and bad things about it. May just take the TB off and clean it by hand, Try to reach all i can from there. Still not sure what side i am going to mount it on, just will have to what till it arrives to see what i am going to do.
  13. Just orderd a AMW catch can from Custom Corvette Assessories. I was cleaning my dry filter on my outlaw when i decided to flip open my throttle body. And what did i see? all this black carbon looking stuff covering the inside. I had read something about this (PVC system and oil mist coating everthing on the inside) in a past forum and figured it was time to get a catch can for my self. My truck is a 06 with only 26,000 miles but i do pull a travel trailer during the summer and see high RPM's in tow/haul mode with the 4:10 rearend up and down this mountains. And what can i do to clean out the buildup already in there?. Seafoam?
  14. Thank's guy's. Already drilled a hole in the firewall just left of the picture posted by dcairns. Big blank spot on both side's of the firewall. Know that i look more close at the picture the spot is in the pic but is coverd by the fireblanket on you're truck.
  15. OK stupid question ? Where are you routing wire's through you're firewall at ?
