  1. The truck is just the stock 5.3L (its a 4wd as well) with the procharger running at 8lbs, and the Fast chips tune soon to be replaced. I already have some pacesetter longtubes but waiting to do that for awhile. Might do a mild cam in the future as well. This is my everyday driver so not wanting to go too balls to the wall. Was also curious if having bigger wheels should play a role in the stall speed / tq converter as well as I am running 22's on it now. Thanks.
  2. So I am pretty sure I am blew 2nd out of my non SS 06 5.3L about 2 days after putting a Procharger on it and I am ordering a monster transmission to from eatmyshift.com ( getting a wheatley tune too as ed wright at fastchips sucks my wang) and was wondering what stall speed any of you gurus would suggest? Thanks
  3. I have a spare PCM I might have to find someone else to send it to until I get schedule an actual dyno tune
  4. Yeah I checked all the connections for the intercooler and tubing and they are all solid just keeps doing the same thing during hard acceleration. Where did you end up getting your tune done at? And did you throw any codes once you did the install? I am getting a code about the crank position saying the variable hasn't been learned.
  5. The PCM was sent to Ed Wright Automotive. The kit that shipped from Procharger included getting the PCM done through them.
  6. So I got a Procharger kit installed on my non-ss 06 Silverado, now under hard acceleration its like the transmission disengages and the engine over revs. PCM was sent in and programmed so I don't think its that. But don't know why it would disengage......... anyone have any ideas?
  7. Unfortunately my wife and brother went to look at the truck yesterday, and its a bad deal all around. The paint is scratched beyond a buff out in several places and that really stands out on the black. The rear diff is leaking (not seeping but dripping) from the pumpkin seal (easy fix but still a PIA) the rear main seal was leaking substantially more than the typical GM seepage. The originally brakes on the truck at 40k are shot almost non existant. The front end needs work, my brother said he had an extremely hard time keeping it pulling right off the road. Obviously somebody rode this girl hard, and is now trying to dump her off. IMO a truck that beat to schmidt isn't worth the 20k the owner wouldn't come down on. So now I am back in the hunt but probably won't jump in until I am back in the states physically in April for a vacation. Happy Hollidays!!!!
  8. Just wanted to say hey dig the site have been lurking for a little bit. I just made an offer on a black 2003 SS AWD with 40k on it. I am definately going to buy just working out the price (long drawn out process I am in Iraq the truck is in Omaha, NE). Anyone from the Omaha area? Well anyways thats where I am from and my wife and kids live there while I work overseas. I was looking around for a new truck lately and I had absolutely NO clue that they were making the SS since the old 454 versions in the 90s. Now I am in love with the whole concept. Other toys in my garage include ; 71 Lemans (GTO Clone fully restored) , 2001 Blazer LT, and a 2006 Honda CBR 600rr can't wait for my new addition.
