No peeling on any of the buttons or knobs. There is a minor knick on the space between the two defroster buttons. I'm not sure what year but I think it was from a 2005.

Hello, I have 2 chrome center caps for sale that I want to sell on here before I try other sites. These were extras that I bought a long time ago just in case I ever lost any of mine. I've had my transmission rebuilt 4 times and I barely drive mine as well, about twice a month. The first 3 times by the same guy (once warranty, other just paying for parts) and it was always the same issues of burning the 3-4 bands. I finally found a transmission shop that did it right and took their time and recommended the suggested parts to prevent it along with any other issues and he actually documented the tear down of the transmission with my dad watching and explained why it failed. Mine was done about 2 months ago but I can just tell that it feels better and shifts better and I have a mostly stock truck with just regular bolt on's. I would say it is time to find a new shop and builder, I'm sure there is someone around you that will know the transmission and build it the right way. Hope you can find a shop.

Hi guys, I don't post on here much, but I have had issues with my transmission in my truck and it has even gone through 3 rebuilds. My issue and question is... Is it normal for 3rd and 4th bands to go out more often than not?? The transmission is pretty much stock internals and at one point and a shift kit installed, when I purchased the truck it was already installed but not sure if the transmission mechanic put it back in each time it was rebuilt. Each time I had the transmission rebuilt it is due to losing 3rd and 4th in drive and basically all I have to drive the truck is 1st and 2nd gear. I know heat is a major killer for transmissions and I know there is an upgraded transmission cooler install but not sure what kind or model. Am I stuck on what other options could be done and it is a headache because the truck is mainly a pleasure vehicle now and gets driven every so often but after this rebuild it is getting to a point that I just want to sell the truck after the rebuild is done. Any advice is much appreciated. (NOTE: I've taken it to the same mechanic each time)

This is a feeler for a potential sale of my truck, due to some hard times it might be time to part ways so I'm just trying to gauge any interest for it. 2005 Silverado SS AWD - Silver Birch - The truck is mostly stock other than some normal bolt ons and is fully loaded expect for a sun roof and has 73844 miles on it. Mods: Corsa sport cat back exhaust, Doug Thorley shorty headers, Black Bear tune, Airraid cone filter, larger tranny cooler, viper remote start alarm, 6000k HIDs, beltech shackles in the rear to level it and maybe some others but I just can't recall right now. The truck has been well-taken care since I bought it from the first owner and as of right now it just sitting and barely gets driven other than starting and driving it around my block. I didn't really let it get to me, I was just surprised of the entire situation because she actually got out to yell at me, went on with the verbal abuse and walked away. I was doing the "sit and listen" just so she could get whatever the point was across and just so I could home. It just blows my mind how some people are. Also I'm not really knocking on people who drive lifted trucks because IF I did a lifted truck I would treat it like my SS but unlike the lifted trucks out here in SoCal, I would probably use it for off roading and not just drive a lifted truck out here because it is the "thing" to have or do with them.

so I am leaving my sister's town home complex after house warming party/get together and I am following a LIFTED FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY....this truck has AT LEAST AN OVERALL FOOT TO TWO FOOT LIFT KIT ON IT WITH OFF ROAD TIRES AND WHEELS compared to a STOCK SILVERADO SS w/ drop shackles in the rear....so basically I am following this girl/woman toward the exit gate of the gated community and I am kind of "tail gating" her because she is going like 10 MPH if that 5 MPH over 5 inch tall speed bump..(keep in mind this a LIFTED FORD F-250 SUPER DUTY) and by the time we get to the exit gate she has the nerve of coming out of her truck and walk up to mine and start YELLING AT ME for "why I'm 'tail gating' her on the way out" and random B***SH*T she had to come up with..I'm basically apologetic out the entire situation because I'm just trying to get back home like "normal person" would and she went off on me for about 2 minutes trying to get her point across which is basically saying to "slow down because there are children around and we do not need people in a rush around here".... again I'm just trying to leave to get back to my house and I am going SLOWER THAN SHE IS in a lower truck and she is giving me SH*T for it... I could not believe it and I just had to vent out on the situation because I feel that the MORONS that drive LIFTED TRUCKS and BABY THEM OVER STUPID THINGS LIKE CURBS, SPEED BUMPS AND SO ON need to get a life and realize that THEIR trucks are NOT THAT IMPORTANT and just to move on and should probably use this what they are intended to do.

according the the vehicle report, the VIN says its an SS but it has a salvage title and other reported issues. I'd say that's a lot of money to perform a complete color swap on it, but it does look good in white. i've driven by theses multiple times and they setup on same street I turn off of to enter my neighborhood where I live. Each time its always the "ticket-by-photo" setup. I haven't seen the dyno one before.
