  2. Shes got pacesetter long tubes, no cats, x-pipe, and 2 single chamber flows. It doesn't lope as much as I thought it would, it seems like it idles right at 800 or so. Is that too high of an idle?
  3. Ill let the 216/220 for for $100 bucks. It needs to be sent to comp as one of the lobes was really worn. No sound clips from the new cam for a while, motor is coming out. I have a spun cam bearing. Found it when we pulled the old cam out.
  4. I never said anything about driving it with the new cam.
  5. I was running a 216/220 .586 .586 114. Yeah I'm building it the way I want to since it be out. It's going to be stout. New cam is 224/228 .581 .588 110 lsa
  6. Mod it for what? I'm pulling the motor and if the header does lean far enough for the motor to come ill take the driveshaft out.
  7. Went to do a cam swap this weekend and had trouble getting the old cam out. Finally after what seemed like an hour Cody was able to get it out. The 4th journal on the cam, second from the back was black, like the bearing was getting really hot. We took a chance and put the new cam in hoping it would be ok, started it up, and the oil pressure was at 6 maybe 7. So we're pretty sure its a cam bearing. Going to get the motor out this week and look at my options. You can see where this lobe was excessively worn. Cam has 30k on it. Maybe a bearing in the lifter? Or To much spring pressure? Running Patriot Duals. This is the only lobe with wear like this.
  8. Hey Brad Im a state inspector. The biggest thing is having a certified inspection station, which we already did at the shop when I got certified. The light car/truck sticker certification is easy. The DOT big trucks is a little tougher.
  9. Why don't you go ahead bring those heads down and I'll pay you back with paint work later
  10. i believe that is Codys friend. Cody said it was in his friends 5.3l and cody sent it off to get refreshed. I guess its the same cam. I bet it is cody lives in round rock
  11. If you talking about Cody. Yep. Hes taught me everything I know from genereal LSx to installs. I do all of his paint work. Hes had some pretty good builds, so I trust his judgement. He says with my stall it will be a good match with this cam
  12. Yep I actually read that thread the other day, just didn't put 2 in 2 together. My converter flashes to around 3400 maybe a little higher. The guy that has the cam is a good friend of mine, and knows his stuff pretty good. He thinks it will be better than the cam I have now. I am talking strictly 1/4 mile times. Not street or anything.
  13. Should be swapping out my 216/220 .586 .586 114+2 lsa this weekend or next if things dont plan out this weekend. What do you yall think of the cam going in? 224/228 .581 .588 110lsa
  14. I also went 13.46 with this cam with LTs, 3200 stall, wheatley tune, stock injectors, and shift kit
