  1. Mine only does it during braking. As far as setting it off ya seems if the road has some small ripples during the braking set it off.
  2. I'm not going to disagree with you but the steering shake is much more vilante than a warped rotor shake. It almost like the tire is bouncing up and down off the road. And no it does shake do it when i'm not braking. Yes I'm will check the rotors to be sure, I'm sure to turn the rotors would be cheaper than replacing front end parts. I might also add that it doesn't do it all the time. Quess I need to just check all things on the front-end. Thanks
  3. Sometimes during braking my steering will shake bad. It shakes during a slower braking 30 mph and below and doesnt do it all the time. From inside the truck it almost seems that the front wheel is bouncing off the ground but I actually think its shaking the wheel side to side. I had some excess moving in the left front tie rod and had it replace 6 months but here in the last month it has started this. It also has 108xxx on the odometer. Does anybody have any ideas to what it could be. Thanks
  4. This will heat things up here on this discussion but you do not HAVE to lower the tank. I didn't on a 05 chev. short bed. Easier maybe, maybe not I just elected to not have wrestle or mess with the tank. Also you don't have to remove the trailer hitch either. I know the bolts have to be pulled in towards the center of the vehicle to get out. All I did was purchase some new spring bolts and cut the old ones to remove them. Its all in how you want to do it.
  5. $10.00 and if its less will refund you when I ship them out.
  6. I have a set of 2508 BellTech 2" lowering spindles for sale. They are for AWD trucks and have never been installed. I have painted them also. I also a set of Western Chassis 2" lowering shackles brand new never installed. Price: Spindles $200.00 plus shipping Shackles $40.00 plus shipping Both $225.00 plus shipping Both of these are brand new and have never been installed. I have had these items about a yr now and have come to the conclusion I'm not going to lower the truck. I dont come over to this board much but will answer when I do or you can email me at: [email protected] Thanks Tony
  7. I got mine at Autozone or O'Reilly Auto. All I did was be sure it was clean and painted it. I just masked it off and gave it like 3 lite coats and the 4th was a little heavier. Its been on there a 1yr or so and still holding up good.
  8. Hey Guys been awhile since I,ve been on here. I have question about a tune-up on my truck. It rolled over the 100,000 and I really need to tune it up. I was wondering what all I should get. Here is what I thinking and please let me know if I miss anything. -AC Delco plugs -fuel filter -PCV Valve I've seen discussion about the corvette one does anybody have the part # -plug wires ?? It's a 2003 and its running good just thought it needs a tune-up. Oh and all stock except a tune and k-n filter. Thanks Guys
  9. TTT. Nobody has any information!!!!!
  10. Looking to buy a set of hangers for a 03 SS AWD. I have pieced together the spindles and shackles now I just need the hangers. If anybody has a used set, or a new set, or know where I could pick up a set reasonable priced I'd appreciate the info. Thanks
  11. Ok guys don't shot as this question has probably been ask but I can't find it. I have a stock SS and am wanting to lower it. I have bought some used spindles for the front and have shackles for the rear. If I put these 2 items on will the truck be level or will need to get hangers for the rear to level out (4"). I want to lower the front only 2" spindles and want to level the rear out to match. So what is the proper combination using the spindle in front and leveling out the rear. shackle only or shackle and hangers? Thanks
  12. Just for the record I've had my truck for 2 yrs and it has made that growing noise when you turn to the left or right since I've had it. I even had my front-end rebuild in April this year (seals leaking) and internal parts and it still does it. I just chalk it up for something thats going to be there.
