  1. I have the GM Performance Parts Cat Back on my SS. It sounds much nicer than stock, with mild drone at about 2000RPM. It is loud enough that the guy in the lane next to you will have look when you snap the throttle. Not to mention that I picked up around 2 MPG after installing it. For the price, no other cat-back can beat it. Think about it, a T304 mandrel bent stainless kit for under $500. Don't forget the tip has to be ordered seperately. Good luck on your decision.
  2. Sorry about the deal going sour man .........when you come back to the states you will probably find a better deal on a better anyway. Happy Holidays Bildo
  3. My uncle just bougth a left over '06 GT. When he breaks it in, I plan on running him heads up. I will post the outcome sometime in the future. I honestly don't think that a 5000 pound truck that has basic mods like mine could beat a 3000 pound car with 300hp, we will see. Maybe in a few years when I add a Vortech supercharger I will smoke him for sure.
  4. I agree, K&N 57-series FIPK. Better peformance, sound, and fuel ecomomy. No problems either. The MAF sensor problems occur if you over oil the K&N after cleaning it. I had that problem on my Grand Prix GTP. whats the different between the 57 series and the 77 series? I found the 77 series on ebay for 165 The 57-series is not as much for looks as the 77-series is. The 57 series is black plastic, while the 77 series is polished. As far as I know they are identical in how they work. Jegs sells the 57-Series for around $250. I picked the 57-series because it matched the rest of the plastic crap under the hood and blended in better. Either way you won't be sorry you bought it. Good Luck with your choice.
  5. whats the part # for that catback? The kit is # 17800765 which goes for around $557 at gmaccessorieszone.com but goes for $493 at crateenginedepot.com. The stainless tip is #17802143 which goes for around $100 on the GM site, but Crate Engine Depot (A large Chevy Dealership in Michigan) sells it for about $88. There are a variety of tips to choose from. I got my kit through my buddy who works at a local Chevy dealership here in NY ( and he got it for cost ). The kit cost me $473 and the Tip was $84. Good Luck with your choice, post your results.
  6. welcome to the site..............nice pics too man
  7. welcome to the site man nice choice on the SS and good luck with finding the right deal.
  8. GM Performance Parts Cat-Back. Costs much less than the Magnaflow and Corsa, and its T304 stainless. Sounds great, really turns heads, and has mild drone. If you don't have a lot of money to spend(like me), this is a great alternative. Costs under $650 with the tip. Good luck with your choice.
  9. Thanks man, I wanted to puke everytime I filled the tank when we had the $3-4 gas crunch. I would rather be broke then drive a little piece of crap.
  10. welcome, its nice to see that people over seas love the SS too.
  11. welcome to the site. Sorry, mine is too new to make those noises.
  12. Welcome, you won't be sorry that you made the move to an SS. Good Choice!
  13. close the gap and make 'em fall in line like everyone else, just don't wrap up your SS.
  14. Nice Kill. Way to lay the smackdown on those Titans.
  15. geez, why does he have to be so nasty?? He must have forgoten what site he logged into. Do I have to mention that the pickup truck was invented here in the good 'ol U.S.A., not Japan?????
  16. No way, not stock/stock. Those f-body cars are pretty quick. Late model LS-1 powered f-bodies have like 325HP(I am not 100%sure of that number exactly) and weigh close to 1/3 less than the SS.
  17. Hell yeah brother, nice to hear from a fellow Suffolk County resident.
  18. He forgot to mention that the SS he beat was towing a 19 foot Monterey w/twin Mercury outboards on it. wow geez you got me there fireman31 whoa good one - CLICK HERE just joking around. Any truck than can remotely come close to an SS must be pretty damn quick.
