  1. Sounds like 2 unrelated issues, any updates?
  2. Sounds like a hard part failure if the truck isn't moving. Any updates?
  3. Sounds like a gov-lock issue, not a t - case issue. I bet if you drop the rear diff cover, you will find teeth missing off the spider gear in the G80 carrier.
  4. Sounds about right, had the exact same symptoms when my first trans let go. Sun shell was stripped. She's on trans #4 now.

    P0300

More often than not with these trucks you will get a Random Misfire P0300 before any cat codes set when the cats begin to fail...
  6. The factory gaskets are the best ones to use
  7. I'll tell you guys, I've had a bad day and a few swings of the ban hammer just might make me feel better. I've warned the few of you who cannot get along to play nice countless times in the past, to no avail. The next one of you that references balls, chins, Chuck from FLT, or anything else not related to the OP's original post WILL receive a vacation, I guarantee it.
  8. Any exhaust shop should be able to replace those donut gaskets. As for the 2 slip joints, welding them is your best option as they always seem to work themselves apart with the band clamps.
  9. No! Do a little research on Performabuilt on these boards. You will see they aren't what they should be. There is no comparison to FLT. You can pretty much plan on a Performabuilt unit failing.
  10. I have pictures from the last failure I can post when I finally make it home, I'm working around the clock for the next few days due to this blizzard. The forward sprag let go, causing the trans to grenade itself internally, snapping the input shaft in half and blowing the rear of the trans case apart where it bolts up to the tail shaft. We had to pull the drive shaft to move the truck, the entire trans including the case was junk.
  11. Full factory exhaust here also w/tip
  12. Husky used to make direct fit ones, but they were discontinued a few years ago.
  13. Welcome to the club, always glad to have yet another member.
  14. Glad to see you didn't go back with Performabuilt for yet another go around. After having 2 of their level 3's fail I went with a local reputable builder who put far more into my 65E then Performabuilt did. My builder said there was nothing special about the Performabuilt unit, that there wasn't much more than a half ass shift kit in it that he couldn't identify. He also told me that it appeared to be an older 60E that had the 65E planetary. Stay away from Performabuilt.
  15. Door lock actuators, peeling chrome on interior door handles, peeling paint on exterior door molding, peeling paint on exterior door handles
  16. It's a shame Matt Craft isn't there anymore. ....
  17. Sounds like another bad resistor and possibly a burnt harness also, common problem.....
