anybody have an 07 Tahoe as a second vehicle? Looking at an LTZ, hate my Acadia. Thoughts?

I have an '09 and I love it. If you can find an '09+ with the 6L80E, you will be better off than the '07-'08 with the 4L70E. The only thing I don't care for is the DOD, the transitions aren't so great sometimes, and getting on it from cruising speed can be tricky (lag). Easy fix, have someone with HP Tuners disable the DOD or get the $150 Range Technologies ODB module that locks out DOD like I did. Oil consumption is less with the DOD disabled.

How much gas mileage has everyone seen with a Whitley Tune? As far as performance. I know keeping my foot out of it will help, but I want to know with the Whitley.

You very well might...i remember picking up roughly 2mpg across the board when I got my first tune from Charlie Wheatley almost 5 years ago.....believe or not, the mileage gets even better the more you mod....at my stage of the game, I get 21-22mpg cruising at 75 on the highway......

We got a dusting here on LI the other day, NYC - 2 inches, Northern NJ - areas got 19 inches, CT - atreas got up to 15 inches, and spiratic amounts of 6-18 inches in upstate NY and New England.......one of the earliest significant snow falls ever recorded up here....hopefully it isn't a sign of what the winter will be like!

If you do the work yourself, you can do the entire swap for under $1500, and that includes everything right down to the oil filter.....

My dad just got a recall notice on his '03 SSS for the heater relay..You all might want to check out the recall to see if yours needs it.

Can anyone answer this? Everytime I unplug the battery cable from the truck, or it loses power, it idles low for about a week. It stumbles a bit at idle, but runs ok other than that. Anything I can do to alleviate the problem quickly the next time it happens.

That is normal, when you disconnect the battery, it erases the PCMs short term memory......the PCM essentially needs to learn and adapt to how you drive when you reconnect the battery.....this cycle can take a few days, usually 50-100 miles or so......
