  1. I guess I should ask, is the interior color grey, I couldn't find it posted anywhere.
  2. I would think it would, but would that center console fit in a '99 Silverado, and do you have the dash piece for around the glove box.
  3. I just noticed the other day as I was traveling to a job for work, that there is a gas station about 1/2 a mile from the local dirt track that has a super premium 110 octane pump. I have lived here all my life, and have been driving for 14 years and have never noticed it. It's only $3.15 a gallon, do you think it would hurt to try ot in my truck?
  4. This place seems to be working on it pretty hard.
  5. Here's a lists of all GM vehicles and what trans they have. It looks to me like Silverado 2500 HD will have a 6L90e.(awsome) GM truck transmissions
  6. Ahh, I forgot about the drive shafts, but thats still what $300-$500. I've found kits that have the crossmember, adapter plugs, and flywheel/tourque converter adapter, and the tailshaft and housing for $464 at transmissioncenter.net
  7. I'm not a transmission expert, so please tell me if I'm wrong. I've been studying up on tranny information for about 2-3 months now. Every where I look on the internet, and everyone I have talked to at tranny shop, mechanics, and a couple of hot rod shop, have said the 60e/65e will take 600-650hp max, built as good as it can be. The 80e stock can take 800-900hp depending who you ask stock, just a basic rebuild. Say you can find a 65e built to the hilt, that can take max hp for what $2000-$2500 plus having it put in, say $2500-$3500 total. Now i,ve found 80e rebuilt all over the place for $900-$1300,plus install about $1400-$2300 total, and conversion kits for $450-$600, , plus retuning the computer which you would have to do(or really want to do anyway) with the 65e also. My question is why does everyone say it cost so much more to convert to 80e? Almost every where I look, I can't get it done for more money in the end, and thats for a 4wd, not a 2wd, it's cheaper. Plus you don't have to baby it, or be nervous every time you squeel the tires, or get into it. Am I missing something?

  9. Glad to hear it, because I'm tired of knowitalls that don't know anything.
  10. I've got a 99 silverado 4x4, with a 4.8L. I plan on making it into a VVHO, and plan on having some questions along the way. My plans are an lq4 6.0l w/ a 4l80e conversion(questions part), and hopefully later next spring or summer a supercharger(even more questions). I want the lq4 for the lower compression, so later I can have more psi. I'm shootin for 500+hp, and am hoping for some sugestions along the way. I've been reading posts for a coule of days, and most seem to have pretty helpful answers/suggestions. Hopefully this is a good place to be, because most places are a bunch of people that know anything and everything until you ask a serious question, and then nothing.
