thnaks for all the info guys! yeah i looked on the borla site and it looks like they have a di/do that us 2.5 inches......is that the size of the stock exhaust? i will definitely check out the fle tho.....again thanks guys, you guys helped me out tons!

with the pcm tune i just pull mine out of my truck, send it in, they tune it, send it back and i put it in? that simple? i wont hafta do any relearn procedures?

ok now that i understand the di/do now, it seems as if i wasnt able to find one, cause at first i just wanted to do the muffler...... ill do some more looking round i guess.....i would really like to find just a borla muffler to put on there and like a different tip, like say the corsa one. im assuming that just a muffler will give me the low throaty sound im looking for at a considerably cheaper cost

thats a good sound clip. i got a few other questions if u guys dont mind maybe answering........whatever about a Borla muffler? i had there catback system on my ss and LOVED it. Are they any good for SS or they even make em for them? And ill be honest, what the heck is di/do.....man im retarded lol....ive had fast cars since i was 16 and always put all the mods on myslef to learn the stuff but ive sorta gotten away from cars/trucks performace the past 2-3 years. oh and the SS is bone stock also, if that helps on maybe a choice of muffler.

huh thats some good info about the corsa db. i just figured it was because when u enter in ur vehicle info on the drop down tabs it list "Silverado SS-db" and a system pulled up. but hey u called and im very open to suggestions so scratch that lol. to be honest one of the things that drew to me to it was the price i found on it. it was bout 300 bucks cheaper than the sport system. i hated the tip tho, the tip on the sport and touring is sweet in my opinion

i guess thats better than nothing. id like to have al lthe paperwork so i can frame it and put it next to the paperwork from SLP for the SS. oh well i guess

yeah i understand what you saying bout all that lol. i just want a mild sounding truck. im not gonna put on any other modifications just want a truck with a little bit of a throaty sound, nothing loud. id get just a muffler but i dont know what route to go. the stock one has 2 inlet and 2 outlets. do i hafta get a muffler that has 2 inlets and 2 outlets also? i can see the 1 outlet cause the tip is basically right behind it. i used to be all gung ho and knew some stuff bout all this crap when i did stuff to my ss and ws6. granted its all bout the same but ill admit im rusty and i dont wanna order something and it all be completely wrong lol.

well this sucks. anyone have like a number or anything of sorts i could try? COuld i try calling the dealer you think?

lol i think they might make em for mustangs but on the corsa site on the little banner they have for the db exhaust link it says something like designed or engineered for trucks or something to that tune...... i just want an exhuast with like a deep throaty growl, nothing really loud but enough to know its there. any otehr suggestions, id just hate to buy something and not like it. plus i liked the price on the dB system, only found it on one site and its quite a bit cheaper than a tourin or sport.

yeah i heard that they liked hauled some nascar drivers around the track or something of that nature????? do you guys think if i just like called chevrolet and told em the deal they would mail me the certificate cause id sorta like to have it to hang next to the cert for the 2002 SOM SS

I have no clue where to post this but here goes. i got my 06 ISS in October of 2006. It was technically considered used but heres the story. i got it fro ma deal in Bloomington Il and bought it with 432 miles on it. They told me it was used at a Nascar function in Texas and than a car shwo in Indiana and than Chevrolet sold it to a dealer, which was these guys. Whether any of this is true or not i dont know. i received the truck with like 800 miles on it by the time they drove it to me, and it had no window stickers, no wrap on seats no nothing and the tag on the keychain has an "X" in the used box. My biggest question is, is how do i find the build number on this thing, Chevrolet never sent me anything i guess since it was used by them supposedly sold off. Any help, knowledge, comments, insight, or info is very welcome. thanks

Anyone tried this exhaust out, i think it might be a newer system they put out. I was looking at maybe getting it. Quite a bit cheaper than the Corsa Touring or Sports. Any Opinions?

oh, on the corsa system, any of you know the mdel number off the top of your head for the touring from corsa? does it come with the tip exiting right behind the tire like the factory does, thats what i would liek to have

how much does the corsa run? money isnt really and issue, as long as it isnt outlandish. remember, this is going on a one stock intimidator ss, i see most have headers and waht not. i jsut dont realyl want to get stuck with something that i think is overly loud, i dont want that. Man, gettign an exhaust for one of my cars was easier than this, loud all the way when it came to that. i ran borla on those and loved it and i looked at their site and they had nothing for an 06 6.0. ill check out the gmpp website and check out corda also. thanks for all the help guys, even though your probably tired of answerin the same question over and over
