Here's a first, went to a used car dealer today and looked at a 10 year old Wrangler Rubicon (super low miles though). Their asking price was 5k above book value. I made then an offer (above book value). Nope. They wouldn't even negotiate a dollar off the price... wow!

People think they can sell Jeeps for more than blue book just because they are jeeps. Ive never understood why they are so expensive, and why they owners and dealerships always think they are worth more than they are

Yay! I get to spend $1,800 on steering/suspension parts on my HD. The issues are most likely caused by my Torsion Lift. Wonderfull

Yeah both the upper and lower ball joints were starting to shred and at 70K miles that is way wya way to early. The rest of the steering can wear out that fast, but its not that common. So my options now are to drop it back to stock height and maybe have to get smaller tires or go back to stock wheels. Or the most expensive option would be to do a suspension lift. I can do a 4" and keep my current tires/wheels, but if I do a 6" i would have to get new tires

Well the Engine on my Subaru is toast and will have to be rebuilt. I was quoted $3500-$4500 depending on how bad the damage is. The shop owner offered me $4000 for it as is, so i decided to dump it and move on.

Im trying to decide what to do next. The most practical would be for me to get a mid size SUV of some sort, but im not the prctical kind. Im thinking about an X5 BMW, but I really want a car to put around in.

I may have just blown the Turbo in my Subaru. Grrrrr!

I hope so. I was driving home and the oil light came on. Im 99% sure the oil pump went out, well i tried to limp it home and I heard some nasty noise coming from the engine, and I had no boost. So the turbo was starved of oil, but hopefully for not long enough that it did damage. I did not have any smoke and no check engine light so im keeping my fingers crossed that its just the oil pump and once the turbo has oil again it will work. Worst case i will have to repace the turbo, intercooler an...

I think its great you have set up a go fund me to help fulfill your dream. I do have a minor suggestion. Your go fund me description is very vague. If you really wank people to donate you need to explain a lot more. What is your education? Are you a self tot taught mechanic or do you have a training? What your experience? What services would you be providing? Who will you be providing it too? These are just a few things you need in order to create a proper business plan, in order to prove to...

Thats always a hard decision. IF you really dont need a truck, then it might be nice to have a Corvette, but if you actually use your truck for a truck and dont have a replacement it really sucks not having a truck when you need it.
