  1. any one have some suggestions for replacement pads? not sure which ones are good and which are not.
  2. http://www.silveradoss.com/forums/index.ph...topic=27148&hl=
  3. VDRUMRIGHT was suppose to post my pics for me since i dont know how
  4. so pretty much ill need to get new springs before run the kit? can i get away with not swapping the injectors? if i do swap injectors which ones should i use and hows that effect my fuel economy.
  5. i dont know how to post pics n here. asking 6000$, live in south east houston tx.
  6. im kinda new the the FI stuff ive always been a N/A fan but im willing to try something new, im really interested in a sts turbo kit. is everyone happy with this kit? and how much boost can i run on the stock motor and tune, and what tune would yall suggest? what all has to be modified to install it. and what kind of e/t times would i be looking at with just that done. i want to be fast but im not greedy so just the turbo will probably make me happy.... lol till i get use to it and want more that is.
  7. i have my 1972 chevy pickup for sale. i have pics of it if anyone wants to see . ive done alot of work to it but am not selling it to make my ss faster. has a 355 under the hood. semi built, most reliable truck ive ever had. headers, flowmaster exhaust w/cut-outs, holley 600cfm carb. edelbrock intake. 2.02 heads. dont know the cam spec. bad ass racing trans just put in it. (was built to hold 600 horses with out any further mods) new torque converter, 3.73 gears. painted interior and exterior viper yellow with black strips. very clean truck always get attention.
  8. how is putting in a mild cam going to effect fuel economy, ive been debating it myself but this is my daily driver and i dont wanna lose to much fuel economy.
  9. take it to a diferent dealer and let them scan it. im a fuel and drivability technician at a chevrolet dealer. ya cant jump to conclusions with just a light, ya gotta know what dtc is setting to cause the light and diagnose from there. the flashing ses light means that your converters are being damaged from the misfire cause the exhaust gases are not right like there being un-burned fuel etc. if u can get it scanned and post what the code is.
  10. im sure there have been many post about headers. but i wanna get headers but i dont want to have to modify my exhaust for my cat's well not until warranty is out on it that is. is there any headers out there that will bolt right up to the stock cats? if not anyone ever tried boring out their manifolds??
  11. thanks for the advice. im not too worried about the scanning and clearing codes part, i work at a chevrolet dealership i was thinking CAI, corsa exhaust, headers, and maybe some cut-outs. cant forget the tune eventually
  12. thanks for the welcome, liek i say im not totally new to cars. ive been mainly building old cars and now im ready to venture into the modern stuff.
  13. i just got my ss and im loving it. i wanting to make it a lil faster though so im looking for some advice. im not a complete noob when it comes to car stuff. what would everyone say is the best bang for your buck. basically i wanna be a lil faster not looking to be the king of the road but i dont wanna spend alot of money for like supercharger. programmer? cut-outs? i would love to do motor work to it but i dont wanna sacrifice fuel economy. all thoughts and suggestions welcome.
