  1. Hey guys. Hadn't logged in a couple of weeks. I notice I no longer am a "Supporting Member". I donated $54.99 to the cause back in December of 2006. Did I do something to piss someone off?
  2. Southeastern Conference football games.
  3. Doing 12 racks of ribs for an Independence Day party tomorrow. I use a trailered smoker we built at the shop, but it lives at my house most of the time. I'll takes some pics and post them if I don't get too drunk and forget. Pic of the smoker in action from a couple of summers ago:
  4. I've got 20" BOSS 315's - real pleased with them. I can't compare them to factory. I bought the truck used and they were already a part of the package.
  5. Spotted a red Silverado SS last weekend (6/23/07) at Westgate Resort on the north side of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Belong to anyone here??? Beautiful truck!

Download Maxthon - If you like IE 7.0 even in the least bit, you're going to love Maxthon. I'm running 2.0 Beta and I believe it might be faster than IE.
  7. Looking good man! We're trying to gather everything together so we can begin our addition late summer to early fall. Thinking about starting an online blog to document the whole process.
  8. He says it does hot water also. Sounds like it ties into your existing water heater someway. I have no idea how.
  9. I've been quoted a ground coupled Waterfurnace Envision unit. Budgetary quotation is between 13-15K. Thats figuring $3,500 for the loop system, $2,500 for the new ductwork and around $8,000 for the unit - all installed. We currently have an electric heat pump (circa 1964). Where we're located, LP gas is the only other option we might have. The existing structure has a crawlspace foundation, but the new addition will have a basement area where all mechanical will be located. I was told I could figure $4,500 to $5,000 less for a new electric heat pump unit.
  10. Anybody here have a geothermal heating and cooling system? We are in the process of getting together information for a major remodel of our home and geothermal is one of the upgrades we are looking at. I have some pricing, but I wonder if it's really worth the extra expense. Look forward to some feedback.
  11. I'll have to agree with you on this one. Several times in the book I felt like he might have been being less than truthful. Overall Queen gives me the impression he's quite fond of himself. BTW, Mel Gibson bought the movie rights to the book. That was before his anti-semitism tirade. Don't think Mel's name is worth much in the entertainment industry these days.
  12. Last book I read cover to cover was "Under and Alone" by William Queen. It's a true story about an undercover ATF agent who infiltrated the Mongols biker club. Couldn't put the damn thing down until I finished it. When I was a kid, my favorite was "The Jack Tales" by Richard Chase. It's a collection of Southern Appalachian folk tales. Highly recommended if you (or your children) have any connection to the hills.
  13. It wasn't going in my truck. Wife's truck is a 2003 Tahoe with the 6 disc changer. One of the kids stuck some change...in the changer...and now it don't work no more. I'm looking for a standard single disc with the MP3 capability to replace it.
  14. GM Monsoon CD/MP3 head unit for sale on Ebay. Does anybody know if this guy is a straight swap for the 2003/2004 Tahoe/Silverado factory unit...and will it retain steering wheel controls?
  15. Rest in Peace BeePee - Hope you, Dale, and Neil Bonnett are fishing today.
