  3. Found it!! Had to get new tires in order to pass inspection, while on the lift, banged my entire exhaust system from manifold back. The hanger on my muffler is the culprit! Thanks for your input guys, really appreciate it! C~Dub
  4. let us know what you find.... Will do. I'm getting my inspection Mon or Tuesday. Since it will be 13 months until the next one, I may throw on some long-tubes....always wanted headers. If I do go the header route, would you guys recommend running no cats (until next inspection) or going ahead and installing new ones behind the headers?
  5. Fireman, yes original cats. KC, somewhat of a contradiction, but also both. It is a very small rattle that produces a cricket chirping noise. Mid morning update....I was driving down the same bumpy street, hardly a peep from under the truck. Ran into a body shop buddy of mine and got his 2 cents. He suggested hangers on my exhaust. That would make sense because IMO they would have more play hot (last night - long drive - hot exhaust - very loud noise) as opposed to this morning (short drive - cool exhaust - no noise). FWIW I'm dumped right behind my magnaflow. Fireman, are you thinking I should replace the cats, or is there some way I can A&M them to quiet them down. Thanks guys
  6. Morning guys, Here's the skinny. VHO, 138K miles, stock rims. New shocks 20K ago, new front bearing assembly 5K ago. I've had this annoying rattle coming from under the truck for quite some time now, sounds like crickets chirping, had it even before the front bearing swap. I've hit the lugs with silicone lube, but no go. I can't hear anything over 30mph due to the magnaflow, but around town it's really noisy (especially on the sh*t streets in my little town). The noise does not slow down as I slow down, so I've ruled out anything transmission or bearing wise, I'm suspecting suspension or lugs. Any experience with this? Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, C~Dub
  7. While replacing the stock plastic air-tube from my AIRAID filter to the throttle body, I decided to clean out my FILTHY throttle housing. I used a rubber coated clamp to hold the valve open, sprayed around the inside of the housing, and wiped it out carefully. THICK ass sludge. Anyways, I hopped in and tried to start it (with the valve still clamped open), no go. Tried to start it 2 more times and finally remembered that I had the valve open (and the tube from my MAF/AIRAID not connected). Hooked it all up, started right up, but not the engine light was on. F*CK. Drove it for 10 min (4" pipe allows much more flow than stock), got back into my driveway and wondered what to do about the light. Disconnect battery, reconnected - no luck. Next, unplugged the sensor to the MAF, plugged it back in and viola' no more light. Just thought I would share. C~Dubya

  9. I am 2WD. Silverado LS with the B4V option code. Included 20" wheels, and was told that's where the issue with the different hub lies.
  10. Yep, that was the problem. Driver side wheel had about 2" of play in it, pass. side about an inch. Decided not to drive it this weekend and left it at the shop. For you VHO owners. Parts guy said that a std. assembly does not exist for our 20's. There is a special one JUST for the VHO. (Not sure if this applies to the SSS b/c of the AWD). List on it is around $500 ea. Supposed to pick it up on Monday (my birthday). Happy Birthday to me! LOL Have a good weekend guys, and thanks for everyone's input. CW
