he's still got his tune in. and i think that's the ONLY thing he has done. i know he dont have his pullies, or his e-fans. CAI i'm not so sure about. what color was the fox body? white? if so, that car will flat out RUN. i'm gonna guess the vette was red, his car is pretty quick too. i had to work that weekend. we got busted out there a couple weeks ago, so i dont think we'll be going back out there and yeah, i'm the only blue TBSS around

his name is DJ, and he has a tannish color one. come to town just about any weekend (or at least any weekend i make my way up there) and you'll see him around. he hooks pretty good off the line. they've got 4.30s and a pretty deep first gear, so it makes for a pretty nice take off. you can come play with him if you want to he was also talking about wanting a piece of that silver lightning...i know his name when i hear it, but can't think of it off hand. we all kinda laughed at him at that one. i thought about telling him to go run that STi down and running him, but i thought naw, that's too mean. it's running 20psi and will flat out RUN. he's got a slip in his car of 11.2 or 12.2...i can't remember. either way it's fast. honestly, he's not a bad guy...just very proud of his truck. i can respect that, but he needs to learn it's limitations. i think mine is pretty quick for what it is, but i don't go around thinking it's untouchable or that i can beat up on every other truck i run across. so far i know he's been beat by 3 TBSS's around...might as well add a SSS to that too in a couple weeks (not next weekend, but the next) bring you, your truck, and your bottle and track us down. we're usually pretty easy to find. just look for the group of fast cars (vette, T/A, 'maro SS, my truck, silver/purple square body, etc.) we dont have anyone in a SSS that comes around much.

i dont think the tundra guy likes me anymore lol. he's been talking smack about a 2wd TBSS in town. well they finally crossed paths and went out to settle it. the 2wd used to have lots done to it, but he blew the motor and had to put everything back to stock for 6000 miles for a break-in period. so anyway, he's all blowed up about this 2wd being oh so fast and that he can beat it. we went out and the SS beat him down both times they raced. he got beat so bad the 2nd time he didn't even come pick his passenger back up. he just kept going back into town. well while we're standing there talking after the first race (they're down at the end lining up again) i said "good, maybe that'll shut him up for the rest of the night" well apparently the guy standing there i wasn't familiar with was his passenger. i didnt know he had brought anyone out there with him. and on top of that we were talking about how he's so full of crap and all. we all got back to town and he met us where we were going...i'm assuming to pick up his passenger he left. he pulled up and i said "well crap, here he comes again. guess we get to hear his ricer excuses" all the time his abandoned passenger standing there and i'm still oblivious that they're together. he got out and hung around and talked for a few minutes and then him and his passenger loaded up and left. we didn't see them rest of the night he would roll past where we were sitting, but wouldn't stop. done that probably 10 times. while he was there talking about how bad that 2wd was i just kinda laughed and said "i'd beat you just as bad if we raced farther than 1/8 mile. and his aint all that anymore, it's back to stock except for a tune. no cai, no e-fans, no pulley's, nothing" he argued with me that he had more done to it than that anyways, i dont think he'll be talking to me anymore. i insulted him to his face and behind his back

well ya know, that's what i thought too, BUT i heard him mention something about Comp Cams tuning it. they're only about an hour away from me, so that's feasible. it's the extended cab type. not real 4 door, but not a regular cab either. but yeah, i still think he added something else to it, but i can't prove it. but it's ok, i just put a underdrive pulley on my SS to even the score a little bit. between him and another kid that has a TBSS i can't win for losing. they're both claiming they whoop me.....even though they're both lying. i know how the vette guys feel now. seems all the trucks, except the really fast ones, in town have me and my SS in their sights. they're gonna keep messing with me until i get mad, clean out the savings account and go with built tranny, 3000+ stall, new bumpstick, and heads and watch them play catch up after that

i ran this guy again this past weekend. he said he took the tune off, and his truck got faster. we raced 2 times. first time he got a half truck jump on me, by the 1/8 i only had maybe a half truck on him. second time, we left even and i had about my full truck on him. we all called major BS. we race and he has a tune and i pull 2 trucks on him. we race a couple weeks later and he stays within a car with me???

they weigh less and have more power. if he had a tune it was probably 2wd and spun. if it was an AWD he probably didnt have a tune...torque management is a pain in the arse. but good job either way

thanks, and yeah, the girls make the wins that much better. my wife loves it when i win too, i usually get a nice victory dance when we get home

this with a TBSS, not a SSS but i raced some guy in a new denali one night. dont know if it was one of the AWD's in question, it was the new body style, that deep red color.....great looking truck, and i didn't hear him turn over a tire. but i drove past him, minding my own business really. he pulled back up beside me and was pacing me. i looked over at him and both him and his girl were looking at me, the girl with kind of a half giggle/half smile thing going on. i just looked at them and i could tell he said something about me cause she looked from me, to him, back at me, and back at him shaking her head, like she was agreeing with something he said. probably some pretty boy comment "aww, look at that guy in his cute little trailblazer" and the girl was giggling with joy as her 'cool guy' boyfriend was being a true stud muffin and trying to impress her with his truck. but that's pure speculation on my part anyways, back to what i was saying. after she shook her head i just kinda nodded at him and gave it a little gas...for a couple reasons 1.) i dont like people pacing beside me, i'm just strange like that. and 2.) maybe i'd pull up a little bit and maybe he'd take my bait. well for whichever reason offended him...he took the bait. we came up to the next stop light and we both had our windows down. my stereo wasn't on and i heard him say something, couldn't tell what it was, so i took offense to it. i inched forward toward the light, the universal signal for let's go, and he did too. i stalled it up a little, light turned green and i jumped him pretty hard out of the hole, and continued to pull on him, but i owe a big part of the jump to reacting first. i let out of it around 60 or so as we were on a street with alot of side roads. he didn't get near me till the next stop light....i think i might have hurt his ego a hair i get to the next stop light first...actually it one of those "the light's yellow and i could have made it, but stopped just so he'd have to be next to me" deals. he pulled up, i looked over, hung my head out the window and said "the little thing's pretty quick ain't it?" pulled my head back in the window and turned right....leaving him wondering what the hell just happened the girl gave me a dirty look too, guess she didnt like her man losing

no no no. the tundra's TOTAL weight was 7400 lbs. and the Duramax was actually pulling 7400 lbs. i don't care if they did actually outrun a duramax in that scenario, i'd MUCH rather have a duramax over a tundra

of course they can...didn't you hear that the tundra can pull 10,000lbs up a 20% grade??

he took his loss pretty graciously. i did forget to mention that he said "my truck didn't shift out of 1st gear right" but i dont have a problem with him. and yeah, she likes to see me win well i'm not too far from putting my cai on (it's sitting in our closet, i'm just too lazy to take time to put it on lol), and then biting the bullet and buying underdrive pullies and putting on a set of LS1 fans. a friend of mine got an excellent deal on his pullies and e-fans. i've been trying to hold out and see if i can get a similar deal, dont look like it's gonna happen. i was still pulling on him when we let off, so i feel that i would kept putting distance on him pretty efficiently

i know i'm not sporting a SSS, but i've got a TBSS.....close enough there's been some guy around town with a tundra that has a programmer/tune of some sort that has been beating almost every truck he's come across. he even beat a bone stock 07 AWD TBSS and was feeling pretty confident the night i ran him. but ever since he bought the truck he's been wanting to run a friend of mine that owns a TBSS for $100. when i first heard of his offer i thought he had something up his sleeve. i think it's odd you offer to run a vehicle you're unfamiliar with, and throw money down on it. anyways, me and the wife were out saturday night talking to some friends. a friend of mine pulled up and asked if i'd be interested in running a new tundra. that perked my interest up, and i asked him if it was the one i'd been hearing so much about and he said yes. he called him and we went out to meet. we got there and he wanted to run another truck that was there...a squarebody with a 383. the squarebody put a hurting on him pretty bad. i still wanted to run him and see how i did. i wanted a flagger, but noone really jumped at the idea. so we went down and i figured i'd let him do the 3 honks, so he couldn't say i got a jump on him. he honked once and then the second 2 came really close together, i'm assuming so he could get a jump on me....well he did. i had heard that his truck's traction control system was to lock in the front wheels....much like GM's auto 4wd is the best i've gathered it. but either way, he came out of the hole just as hard as i did and his honking allowed him to jump about 1/4 fender on me. front of my bumper was around his tires. so he jumped out in front and i didn't immediately gain my ground back. my first reaction was "shit", but i held to the mat. i wound out 1st and was barely moving up on him and when it caught 2nd i jumped pretty good on him...instantly regaining my ground and putting some back on him. i continued to pull on him all the way through 2nd into 3rd, but not as well as i would have expected. we raced a little more than 1/8 and my wife said when we passed i was about 1- 1.5 cars ahead of him. i talked to someone else who was watching and they said about 2 cars and gaining. when we first got out to where we were gonna race he was kinda complaining about racing 1/8...saying he preferred 1/4 because his 3rd gear pulls really hard. after that race he should be glad we didn't race a 1/4, he said his 3rd was strong, but i dont think its strong enough to pull him ahead from that far behind, but i could be wrong. all i have is a computer tune on my SS. all of you that are running forced induction, heads/cam, nitrous, or any major power adders i dont think you'll have a problem. you guys that are stock...you'll probably get beat. if you're running minimal mods: tune, cai, exhaust it'll be a really close race IMO.
