  1. I'm 5 foot 9 and I have never had any trouble getting in and out of my truck, I would remove the step bars and also the side molding I think it will look way better than with them on. I dropped the rear 3 inches already and it hasn't made it easier to get in, but it has made it easier to get stuff out of the bed of the truck. I'm planning on the dropping the front 3 inches and dropping the rear 2 more inches. IMO remove the side step and the moldings and it will look way better.

  2. ive had a couple civics for dinner they dont expect a big truck to keep up but when i spin and chirp tires like them they. give me a second look. then they eat me ass end. but they always get me at freeway speeds. i top out at 98 :( havent had it removed yet. i bought my truck with TM removed nothing else done.

     

     

    If you think topping out at 98mph is bad, my truck would top out at 92mph when it was on a stock tune.

  3. Finally installed my Belltech 2 inch drop shackles and removed the rear lift blocks with the help of Nekroman. The truck went down about three inches in the rear, it is finally leveled. I'm thinking about dropping the front 3 inches and the rear 2 more inches. Here are some pics..sorry about the quality took the pics from the cell phone. It is finally level, looks way better than stock.

  5. Eh either way im glad there all coming back with fast cars. Get ready for the new generation muscle car wars.

     

     

    Yeah, all the competition between the big three is good for the customers. Muscle cars are alive again, wonder what Chevy and Dodge are going to now that the Mustang GT has more power.

  6. Ford has always overadted the HP their engines produce. I wiuld have to see the new 5. hoe on an engine dyno (and not one that was run by the ford motor company either) before id beleive it put out 412. As far as styling the challenger has both of them bet IMO. The new maro looks funny when looking at it from the side, the wheels are to close to the nose for my taste.

     

     

    I heard the opposite for the Terminator Cobra, I heard they were actually underrated. I like the SRT-8 Challenger also but it way more expensive than the Camaro or the Mustang. I know the 2001 Cobras were actually putting out less than they were rated at, but I believe that the new 5.0l does produce 412hp. I think Ford got tired of the Camaro SS & Challenger SRT-8 putting out more hp than the Mustang GT.

  7. If you don't like the styling thats youre own thing. But you are losing horsepower because its a completely different engine, manuals come with LS3 and automatics are L99, not much of a joke and I'm all for clownin around :jester: . Well when people in the motorsports industry talk about horsepower/cubic inch ratio they compare weight and cost. The Camaro weighs less and costs less. So...theres not much comparison. But if youre buying a car only for its looks, do what you want. I was figuring you were buying it for the power considering you brought it up because of the 5.0L, which would still make the Camaro a better buy.

     

     

    I know going with an automatic in a Camaro SS changes the engine, but why can I get the same engine with an automatic transmission? Reminds me of the 3rd Generation Camaro when you couldn't get a 5.7 TPI with a 5 speed manual. There is not really a difference in power, the Camaro SS only has 14 more hp, and If you get an automatic SS the GT outpowers it. The Camaro SS does make 14 more hp than the 5.0 GT but it would be funny if the 6.2L would make less hp than the smaller 5.0 Ford. How heavy is the Camaro SS cause from what I heard the 4.6L GT are lighter than the Camaro SS.

  8. I find it funny that a lot of Chevy owners hate Ford, what is so wrong with Ford? I like the 5.0l that Ford is bringing out. And Punisher I think the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L is a very good comparison against the Camaro SS. IMO the Camaro SS is overrated, I don't like its styling and I think it is a joke that if I want to get an automatic SS I lose 26hp. I'd rather have a fourth generation Camaro than a new Camaro SS. And the Ford 5.0L having 412hp is way more impressive than the GM 6.2L with 426hp, but if I were to get the automatic I'll lose 26hp and get cylinder deactivation.

  9. If youre going to buy a sportscar for the power, buy a Camaro, no contest. Camaro is faster on the 1320, and the track over a Mustang or Challenger. Pick up a few of the magazines that compare Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger, its quite funny that they call it a comparison.

     

     

    Well, we need to wait for the new 5.0L to come out for a comparison. I think the 5.0l GT will do pretty good against the SS and the Challenger SRT-8, remember it is lighter than both cars and it comes with 412hp. I don't really like the Camaro SS style, I'd rather have a 2011 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L. Need to hurry up and pay off my V-Max to get a new Mustang GT 5.0L.

  11. went from 10.05 @ 72.39 to 9.78 @ 74.55 by adding a volant cai. Temps was similar, not sure about density alt etc... 60fts have not changed low 2.4 to high 2.3..no wheel spin. im very impressed with results. only other mod is a handheld programmer. fit and finish is top notch, and install was a breeze, 30 min tops. oh yea 08 gmc esc vmax 4x2. with 265 70 17s

     

     

    Get a Black Bear tune, you will notice a huge difference in the performance of your truck.

  12. Finally went to town and found a muffler shop. We decided to go with a 10" piece of 2 1/2" pipe on the tip of the 3" to slow down the exhaust gases. Cost me $20 and well worth it.

     

    I lost a bit of top end but gained the equivalent in the low end. It seemed sluggish before and alot more responsive now. These results gave me the "bug", can't wait to get my tune now!

  13. can you get the 6.0 in the new 1500 std cab 2wd or do you have to get a 2500hd

     

    The biggest engine you can get in a 1500 regular cab is a 5.3L, the 6.0L is only available in the extended or crew cab version with a 6 speed automatic. The 6.0L is getting dropped for 2010, and the 6.2L is going to be available in the extended and crew cab with the 6 speed automatic. I don't think GM is ever going to drop a 6.2L in a regular cab, that would be awesome if they were to offer it though.

Watch the History Chanel show on How Star Trek Changed The World; every item on the set in Star Trek except the transporter has now been realized as an invention and everyday item. And our finest minds are working on the rest lol.

     

    Star Wars is a great story, and very well imagined and told by Lucas. But to me it's just that, a story and not much more.
