  1. i obviously dont know the whole story here except what i see, but has anyone ever painted something like a backyard molded fiberglass wing- or anything DIY molded fiberglass that has a deep contour to it??? its NOT easy to get flat and get 100% right. most people will CUT all the corners and it wont look very good. and even that still takes some time lol. im not defending either side here, im just trying to make a point from a painters perspective. painting a wing like that, in the show quality that i am very picky about will take some serious time... NOTE: i am NOT talking about this spoiler and this product as being made poorly, at all... we make full body panels for C6 Corvettes, out of fiberglass and out of 100% carbon fiber. even with the BEST mold and the most time spent carefully making these, they are far from "ready to paint" and far from "paint clear and install". this part looks like a good, well made part. but even those take some serious time to get right... im just pointing this out looks good btw, curious to see what it looks like with the bed cover on... this look had crossed my mind a few times on my truck, but i could never decide since id never seen it and didnt wanna gamble on it. but then again, the roll pan and the shaved tail gate will help alot IMO at least. still curious to see it. hope you get it back soon and can put that cover on John
  2. arent you on fire today.... btw if you go to drive your truck, and it doesnt run right... and somehow you find maybe that it has an OEM tune from a 2001 GMC Savannah V6 4.3L work van.... i had NOTHING to do with it.
  3. why you gotta go and make my truck look bad now??? wanna trade???
  4. ive driven the charger version of that, not AWD but RWD close enough... ive never heard anything bad about them so far. also almost all the newer HDPD cars down here by the shop are those 5.7 8 spd chargers (as well as many other agencies here just dont know many personally) and some of the guys we know beat the piss out of them and they still have yet to have any major "typical" issues with them. i would say if you like it, then your good to go. plus since it seems your buying it either new or barely used youll have a long warranty on it anyways guess it really comes down to if you like the car
  5. oh well in THAT case i guess now would be a good time to tell you that.... i sold your blower. tuff luck some guy gave me cash. oh well youll find another one
  6. yeah i had to read that twice.... hahaha thats my FAVORITE part! but i think the Dora the Explorer El Camino down the street from the shop here takes the cake, IMO you just cant beat a classic like that, with Dora on the side on 30" wheels, pink wheels...
  7. oh well in THAT case.... btw how come no moderator action has been taken...? oh wait cause one of the moderators is waist-deep in the fight
  8. all i did was take a piece of scrap metal laying around the shop and bent it up at the ends, one end bent up a little for mounting to truck and other bent enough to drill a hole and mount light. then i just adjusted bends according to angle and where i wanted it to sit, then put two self-tapping screws right where the OEM spare tire crank mounts... sprayed the scrap piece black so no rust, and mounted into truck. all in all took about 20 mins. i dont have pics but i can take some if anyone doesnt want to go the route of drilling through half inch thick tool grade steel??
  9. i know a few officers with all three new PPVs- new charger 5.7, caprice, and the Taurus EB and NA... so far none of them have had issues with the Taurus, but they are fairly new... like a few months old at best. and ive only seen one of them was EB and AWD. many of them have the chargers and so far never seen any issues with them. they are pretty neat for PPVs honestly... the standard little navi-like screen that conrtols the whole car is cool, as the keyless is too but thats becoming fairly standard it seems. also the 8 speed transmissions are cool. i havent gotten to drive the caprice yet, but thats the one i really wanna try. its about time they made an LS-based RWD GM police car seem to hear equally good things from the guys in the chargers and the caprices, not as many caprices around but still becoming quite a few. the police tahoes are pretty fun to drive, those have to be my favorite police vehicles hands down... they just look so mean too! there are TONS of them in broward county, they are becoming very common. seeing quite a few on the FHP too. why not use a full-size truck if its just as quick and handles just as good as the cars do? a lot more room to do a lot more things with and not to mention comfort. most of the chargers only have a one-sided cage in them bc the driver cant even sit in his seat without making love to the steering wheel i never thought a car with such a low, sloped roof line would work well as a police cruiser... and it doesnt lol!
  10. yeah i think the fact that flowmasters are flowmasters is what makes them sound like shit... i could be wrong but if you wanna add backpressure, why not just put on a nice chrome or carbon-fiber (or plasti-dipped... no?) 4" can from your local autoparts store and put one of those neat silencer plugs on the end of it that goes from like 4" to 1.5"... that would be plain easier and cheaper as well- but same "classic" sound and same "classic" flowdisasters/backpressure! i mean, flowMASTERS sorry i get that confused i have tight key spacing on my keyboard... i could not have put that any better myself... dammit im really busy for a few days and i miss this fun. just my luck!!! the SLOWEST TBSS i have ever seen or built was 14.1 w/ full bolt-ons and a tune. but that thing was like 9 cars welded together, its lucky it successfully made the passes
  11. it WILL plug into the OEM sat radio antenna with some toying around... this is how i install all the customer radios with OEM XM. however, the OEM Sat antenna WILL NOT plug and play... you will need to run the kenwood sat nav antenna. but you can always hide it in numerous places it doesnt need to be visible. i put some under the dash skin, i put some (with windshield tint) under the wiper cowl... they dont need to be placed on top of the dash or on the outside of the car got any pics of this???
  12. yeah im in the "special" tuners category
  13. gotta love the f-body platform looks like a clean one!
  14. NO that harness will NOT work- it is only for the CARS with 78mm TBs such as the corvette C5, CTS-V, etc. the trucks MUST use the X-Link, no exceptions. also, you dont need any kind of fuel filter or regulator... the TBSS is a returnless vehicle and so is the 2004 Silverado SS. you WILL need injector harness adapters as the LS2 uses an EV6 connector and your truck uses a Multec II connector. you can find plug and play pigtails at racetronix for that. you also will need an EVAP assembly for it. just go pick up one for a 2006 TBSS. they arent expensive, just make sure its the whole assembly as you need the plastic hoses that connect the solenoid too. also you can reuse your MAP sensor, just make sure you secure it somehow when you pop it into the new manifold, as the clips are a little different. thats all you will need really... its a pretty simple swap. obviously im sure you got intake manifold gaskets already? and wouldnt hurt to change the TBSS throttle gasket either... so you need: 1. X-Link 2. EVAP Solenoid Assembly 3. Multec II to EV6 Injector Harness Adapters 4. Gaskets That is all you will need to install it
  15. For concealment- what holster are you using for the XD? Is it not a 3" barrel version? It looks like it in the pics... I am not a real big guy and I wear the 3.8 XDm 9mm on me everyday everywhere i go... Never had anyone notice before. Btw the 40 and 9mm XDs are the same size... And the XDs .45 is my next purchase, great gun but it's a single stack only holds 6 rounds I believe (6 + 1 I think) so I am going to carry as backup.... My XDm holds 13 + 1 in standard mag, 18 + 1 in extended. Both are fully concealable Yeah you and Andrew/KPVHO both.... I told him to get the XD but NOOO. Then we go to the range.... Enough said, he's trying to unload the G19 for an XDm 3.8
  16. If there's enough interest, we can look into making a custom aluminum 50 lb or less cover. Yes we can put polished logos on lol. Taylor aka 907blownss had mentioned something about doing a custom cover so if you get enough interest and serious buyers we can build the baddest cover there ever was or will be...! With option of molded in ISS wing or JGP style wing
  17. MoSt popular size is 305/40R22.... Second most is 285/45R22. Both of these will work good on stock and most lowered trucks if wheel offset is correct
  18. I hereby claim the "other" category
  19. Love them. Have/had a set of Billet Specialties on my SSR not cheap.... They are light tho! And similar sized- 20x9 front 22x12 rear
  20. No problem, will do You can text me any time of day, I have insomnia and don't sleep much lol. If you call just make sure you leave me a voicemail
  21. Looking good I think we are gunna be right on track for 4-6 weeks till its time and thanks for the kind words Btw that detail stuff is "crap" compared to Adams! It's the only products we will ever use again! Their stuff is great
  22. +1! Last gun I purchased, absolutely awesome piece!!!
  23. DAMMIT how'd I miss this???? The 36 hours I don't go on the forums.....
  24. to OP- you can buy proportional valves from companies like I believe Baer sells one, which can be installed in-line to adjust front/rear brake bias there is no way to adjust on OEM setup. Hope this helped btw if your asking bc you did a BBK, yes this is not a bad idea... The rear will lock up first immediately with a BBK This is true... Since 70% roughly of your brake bias is front, the 05+ fronts make a huge difference. BUT the 05+ drums have more actual braking apply surface area so they will have more stopping force. The discs however will handle fade better and will be more consistent for towing or heavy braking/hills, etc. GM actually switched to drums due to ebrake failure due to comtamination on disc setups, as well as price cuts. They did not do the drum part with stopping in mind... Now the front setup yes they did due to how poorly the 99-05 trucks stopped... Everyone is right on one thing tho- either way, drive an 05+ truck with drums it will feel like a BBK compared to your 03-04 truck. Obviously a disc setup as huge as 14" with 4 pistons will out perform any of the OE combination.... No one arguing with that lol
